NEW MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS!

Hi I'm Dave and just joined. I drive a Toyota TRD Off Road and belong to a club called LakeCountyOffRoad here in NE Ohio. I am more interested in Trail riding than off road parks which drew me to American Adventurist. Looking forward to participating with like minded folks.

Welcome Dave. I know exactly of what you speak - you'll find what you're looking for here. Perhaps you can join us this September in North Carolina for the Appalachian Rendezvous. You'll have an opportunity to meet a lot folks who feel the same way and get a chance to have some fun with your truck and other activities.

Not a new member, but have been inactive for some time. Wife and I had built our own adventure mobile and where touring the country when we had our first daughter. We've seen decided we want to travel full-time and sold our adventure mobile and purchased a new adventure rig plus an Airstream, and in 10 days we'll be leaving to travel the nation full time, exploring, learning and adventuring together.

Our old Adventure Rig:

Welcome back to the Home on the Road. "Home, home on the road, where there's deer and there's antelopes and toads...." Safe travels MikeKey, it's good to have you back among the adventurists...!

Hi All,

Mike here. Met a few of you at DRV but I realized I never got around to posting an intro. Living in the out skirts of San Diego currently. Try to get out to Anza Borego or the surrounding areas a few times year but the weekends get pretty full with sports and school for the kids.

The vehicle of choice for now is a 2003 F-150 with a softtopper keeping the dust off. Though after seeing Dave's rig at DRV, the credit card is getting pretty nervous.

There is only one way to settle the nerves of a credit card

Hello everyone,

My name is Brian. I'm from Mississppi and I'm just recently getting into overlanding. Have travelled a good bit but has been mostly on pavement. I'm ready to get out on the trails and get to places most people don't get a chance to get to. Recently purchased a Jeep JKU and will be starting my build in the next week or so. Eager to see new places and meet new people.

My name is Nate and I write with my wife at our bog (same as our name here). We recently got in to Overlanding and are learning as we go. We have three small boys{aka Someboy 4 today, Sidekick 2 and Minion 4 months}. We drive a '14 F350 4x4 and pull an M101A3 military trailer with CVT Tent on top for our outings. This is my first time on a forum. Be gentle : )

Hey guys! Registered last week but forgot to introduce myself. I’m Jeff and I currently live in central Virginia (moving to Pennsylvania in a month, though). I’ve been an outdoorsman since the day I was born and have been an adventure junky for as long as I can remember.

I drive a mildly lifted Jeep Wrangler (4 door Rubi) and have been building it to serve my needs as 1) adventure vehicle 2) daily driving 3) occasional dedicated wheeling. This is my second Jeep and I’m going for a more practical build (2.5” lift, 33s, overlanding outfit) so I can explore the east coast, attend some cool overlanding events, and spend time outdoors with my family and girlfriend.

Any eastern PA or north-easterners on here? I’ve had the pleasure of talking to a few cool people from the area so far.

Hello,
My name is wynn, located in Socal. I got into guns and that lead to 4x4 so I can get to my shooting spots.
I currently own an 80 series land cruiser with some aftermarket toys, nothing worth mentioning.

Just wanted to say hey. I wanted to see if there were any other Southerns around. I'm in North Alabama and looking for events/possible to trips to take my family on. I've got the Appalachian Rendezvous on the calendar as a potential events.

Welcome Wynn and Robert there is a group around here that call themselves the SEES; Southeastern Expedition Society.

welcome hove102! what do you drive?

Totally just saw that you responded to me! I haven't been on this forum in a while. My current rig is an '03 Mitsubishi Montero Sport, basically my gateway rig into the 4x4 scene since my last car was just that, a car, and I decided it was time for me to get a truck. 173K miles, bought it from the original owner, and I'm slowly going through it and improving it a bit with small, useable mods. Definitely looking forward to the next rig though...an FJ like yours is something I've wanted since my dad got rid of his!

Hi everyone! I first found out about American Adventurist at Overland Expo East last year [there was a huge banner in the campground :)] and I'm just now getting around to joining the fun! I have been enjoying following along on facebook and Instagram and thought it was time to sign up.

About me: I'm currently living in Huntsville, Alabama. My wife and I like to take our 2012 Rubicon and 2013 Xterra Pro-4x to as many places as we can find time. If you see us on the road we most likely have our two yorkies, Ninja and Kokopelli who are great road trip and camping companions. Our most recent trip took us to Easter Jeep Safari and then to Riverton Wyoming before finally making the trek back home. This summer we will be moving to Riverton and we will be keeping an eye open here for some new spots to adventure.

Cheers everyone!
Brandon
