NEW MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS!

Hello, Giovani here. I have a 2014 FJ Cruiser and am an avid Backpacker and Overlander. I live in Los Angeles and try to escape any chance I can get.

Hello all. I am getting to the point in life where kids are out of school and it is time to start looking at doing things I have been considering since I was very young. I ride motorcycles and bikes and I want to make a trip on the "Great Divide" but my wife won't do it on a motorcycle or bike. She has had to put up with a lot over the past 37 years, so we will do it in a Jeep with most likely an adventure trailer of some type. I am glad I found out about this through the Overland Expo site. I missed the program in Flagstaff last weekend, but I will follow up here and through the exhibitor sites from that. I am in Arizona so we have a ton of outdoor options all year round. We are going to expand that to much of the rest of this country.

Thanks for having this forum

Welcome N. You'll find several us here with similar stories... kids moving on and more liberty to do some of things you've always wanted to do but couldn't. Stay tuned and find out what we're up to and join in!

Hey all,

Found the forum while following Dave's build on Expedition Portal. Daily driver of a 95 4wd 22re pickup and also a 2004 Highlander. Hoping to pick up a Taco QCLB in the future and turn it into a family camping rig similar to Dave's.

Thanks everyone for all the useful into on this site and E.P..

Hello, my name is Roger and XJINTX on most forums. I explore in a 2000 Cherokee, off road parks in a 1987 Cherokee and just attended Expo 2015 in my ford Superduty. Avid "get outside" type and being recently retired it allows me more time ;) usually travel with my dog but sometimes my wife. reside in Tx so not a lot of public lnd so I head west and sometimes into Mexico. Look forward to meeting up with some of you on the trails!

I was fortunate enough to travel with Roger to OXW 2015, and we have traveled together several times in the past. He is one of the "usual suspects" in TX... And has run most of what there is to run in our neck of the woods. I hold Roger in very high regard, FWIW.

Good to see you over here, Roger!

Hello from Sunny SWFL. My name is Donny. I drive a 12 JKU. I also have a bantam trailer that I am working on as well. I love chilling at the beach but am wanting to transition into doing some trips and my plan is to be ready with both the Jeep and the trailer by Overland Expo East in the beginning of October. We shall see.

Welcome Donny. You should consider joining us for the Appalachian Rendezvous the weekend before too. If you can make it you can stay for free during the week and explore more of NC before the Expo.

hello all, like most, looking to get out and see this wonderful world for more than the urban sprawl that its become. Hope to get some good ideas here and bounce a few that I have to make sure I am sane.

Hello,

Just figured I would create an account for old times sake. Been following on FB for about a year or so now. Started with a Pajero over in Oz that I had big dreams of traveling the outback with. Then family started and had to move back to the US. Looked for a Montero to replace it, but settled on a better solution, a GX470. This is the family mobile, so can't rig it out yet. Plans are to get a second one for my DD and rig it out. This is all a long term goal. For now, just have Duratracs (265/70/17) and updated discs/pads. Had a little hangup on a rock and pulled the rear bumper panel away, so a new rear bar will be fab'ed up as soon as I find money for the welder.

Cheers
