I think that Ford and Ram etc are all laser focused on aerodynamics and lighter materials in an effort to improve MPG numbers.
The GM trucks are going to aluminum body panels on the doors, tail gate and hood.
Coatings and glue, very high tech stuff.I’m interested in seeming how all the manufacturers plan on mitigating the effects of dissimilar metals corrosion with these blended construction vehicles.

I’d heard that. Call me a skeptic, we’ll see how coatings and glue hold up to two decades of vibration, flex, wild temperature swings, humidity and chemicals exposure.
For the price of a new pickup, they better last at least two decades. New F-350’s are hitting $100K.
Don't know about that particular set of insurance but Federal flood insurance has some limitations based on past claims. If the water level came to here before, you can't claim damage below that level next time.I'm so pissed off right now, I figured this was the best place to vent for a minute...
Local news just led off with a MANSION that is built on the side of a dirt CLIFF that is sliding down the hill in Santa Barbara county due to the mudslides...this stupid little rich bastich is going to file an insurance claim, FEMA claim, probably sue everyone his lawyer can think of and then rebuild with his new found wealth in the same location. I saw this as a kid in the 70's when mansions were sliding down cliffs in Santa Barbara county after a severe rain storm. If this stupid fawker had the $$$ to build a mansion on the side of a cliff, surely he had the $$$ to have a ground survey done before he built.
Stupid shouldn't be covered at all IMO, but at most it should be a one time payment, if you rebuild on the same location, it's on you buddy boy.

That's not just limited to Santa Barbara. When I was a kid in San Diego, this seemed to happen constantly in La Jolla with homes built dangling off the side of the hill below the cross or along the cliffs above the Shores and Blacks. More recently, when we lived in North County, it happened along the cliffs from Solana Beach all the way up to Carlsbad. Always boggled my mind. You built your house on a sand stone cliff. Sand stone. What did you think would happen over time?
Do you remember the slide in La Conchita about 10 or 12 years ago?
