The Random Thoughts Thread

I was told to put together a cabinet. Assuming it was IKEA-esque, I made a cocktail to support my trial. The cabinet was not from Ikea and only required plastic roller wheels to be screwed into the bottom. While cheap, and for the bathroom, I now get to enjoy my rum and coke in the evening sunshine.
 
Do you ever wonder how Earwigs got their name? They look nothing like an ear or a wig or an ear wearing a wig.

This kind of thing makes me proud. My wife did almost all the spotting for our group and helped teach others this year in Moab. She's always done the spotting for me. Plus, it helps when your wife is into your hobby. I never have to hear about what I want to spend money on. She already agrees we need 37's ;p

Whatever happened to professing your love for someone on the side of a water tower? My redneck roots have a nostalgic affinity for those kinds of things. Graffiti is ok if it is artfully done, and the building/property owner consents. Graffiti on natural objects sucks. It seems like every high school around here has a "spirit rock" that is always covered in various combinations of that school's colors and recent senior class rah rah sis boom bah.

There are two mountains around here - actually several more, but these two in particular - where the natural rock face has been so tagged up that it is actually a blight. If you ever go up Currahee Mountain (the one in Band of Brothers) there is a rock face there that jackasses from all around spray paint dumb things.
