Camp sites can't possibly get much better than that. Welcome to AAV!

Good morning, all. Name here is Brian. I came over here through mentions on ExPo and would have loved to attend the Desert Rendezvous, but had some prior commitments this time around. Maybe next year.

I'm out in the Inland Empire area of Southern California, and spend some time out in the Mojave / Death Valley area camping with my wife as well as taking frequent trips out to Utah and Arizona.

We've got an 85 CJ-7 in the garage to play around with, but our primary travel vehicle is my (stock) Dodge 1500 4x4 which has managed to haul us to some fantastic places. I'm big on photography and enjoy the shooting sports as well. Recently, I've developed an entirely unhealthy and unreasonable obsession with building a DIY teardrop to drag behind the truck for longer trips. Hopefully I'll get around to starting that project in the near-ish future.

I don't tend to take a lot of pictures of the truck, but here it is out in the desert near Page/Lake Powell on the AZ/Utah border.

Welcome, sounds like you will fit right in. I am also in the IE, just north of Upland, and also run a Dodge. You dont have to wait until next year for a Rendezvous, there is also the Mountain Rendezvous in Big Bear

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Actually, BlkWgn, I believe that you and I have conversed a bit on another forum. I appreciate your help on that other forum, and I'm glad to see you over here as well.

Glad I could help, but you might have to refresh my memory, it is not that great. I am still on other forums, but this is my home

Another new guy, and my F350.

Hey guys,
I was recently referred over here by another member. A few of you will recognize me from the ExPo forums. I will work on posting up a thread about my truck later. I am currently living with my Fiancé in Pasadena. We are still pretty new to SoCal in general. We have been here for about a year, but for various reasons, have not gotten out much and really don't know anyone. We were originally from the central valley, about 5 hours north of LA. Between the lack of funds (much more expensive down here than up north for well, everything, especially housing), and living in an apartment now (first time in my 32 years without a garage, I feel very naked and lacking), I haven't been able to do any mods to my truck really. Hell, I have to drive the 5 hours to my parents house just to change my own oil.

Anyway, I hope to hang out around here, and get to know some of you. I just got my camper shell a few weeks ago (after owning the truck for a number of years), and we have become interested in doing more off-road/dirt road/camping trips, as time/money allow. I will leave you with a quick pic of my truck for now, and as I said, I will work on making my own thread soon.

Good to see you over here. I know your pain about the garage, all I have is a narrow gravel driveway. My wife and I are just down the 210 from you, and spend a lot of time camping and wheeling. If you want to head out some time let me know.

Wow, and I thought I had it bad with a wood parking deck! Gravel driveway has to being the suck!

Hey guys. My names Garrett and I found my way over by recommendation of the Xpedition outfitters guys. I convinced my wife to move back to Colorado after a decade long stint in the silent service (submarine fleet). We are running a first and second gen Xterra as well as a first gen Toyota Hilux.
