"Travel, Live, Explore" as the Forum's motto is. [which is what attracted me here].
I was an International 5 Star Chef all my Life for the "rich and not so famous". When 10 years ago now my only Child, Son and Best Friend passed away at 26 I tried to hang in there but probably took it harder than most would have had. Priorities change. 7 Years ago, my rescued Pit "Spirit" and I sold/gave away everything and took on the road camping full time. "Mother Nature" is now my only relative as I also just lost my Mother a month ago [I am actually in Munich right now trying to sort out the Bureaucracy and probably will have to come back a third time, maddening].
So that what we do. Has been the Schooling of this Fabric of Life. At 65 now now hoping for a few more such Years ahead. We mainly stay in the USA having lived in Europe before for 30 years, Middle East, Africa. "Get to know your own Backyard" I always say.
Amateur Photographer, I write as my therapy, motorcycle and sidecar. We now tow from point A to point B with a Honda Element that has an Ecamper. 5 years was on the sidecar strictly. I think getting softer has much to do with it. South in the winter, north in the summer...
I use a 1996 GS/Ural sidecar, 310,000+ miles and lately also a full Ural Gear-Up. The 2 wheel drive and reverse gets us in more isolated areas than before as we strictly do National Forests and BLM land, no campgrounds.
We live without refrigeration and all one~pan cooking. Still love to cook.
