The Random Thoughts Thread

Pretty certain that's an early AG image by the looks of the truck and recent contracts for NSTV's. USSOCOM snapped up a bunch of Tacoma quad cabs off the lot and sent them to Ft Campbell for some hasty mods, some of which were questionable (like a Westin bull bar o_O). Also, those guys did not get trained by us. Schackles make for lousy recovery points and are a sure-fire, self-inflicted mobility kill.

The more recent acquisition are for the quad-cab Hilux and 200-series GX. They are truly very stealthy as below, considering all the modifications that have been performed. The IR lighting is incredibly sweet. :thumbsup

And when you care enough to send the very best these might show up unexpectedly...

Well, the bathroom was finally completed and first showers were had last night! The bathroom is tiny to start with, so moving to a smaller vanity was super helpful.

Before (shower drain developed a leak and the plumbing was so corroded that we pulled everything out since it shares pipes with the guest bathroom anyways):

I guess this explains why we haven't heard any adventure reports from Frankie lately.

This is partially true. We actually bailed on the Baja 500 because of this plumbing disaster. The other sad truth is that I galavanted off to Seattle for a four day weekend and then an entire week in Colorado without him! He was devastated, but we couldn't bring him along for those trips. We're about to be back in the swing of things though with some upcoming fido friendly trips!

Californians - riddle me this: If an illegal alien uses an illegal straw in California, who gets arrested?

Snowflakes . . . .

Things were different in the good old days. Actions had consequences . . . .

On September 10, 1783, Cuenca resident Melchor del Valle was convicted by the Spanish Royal Court of murdering his brother Sylvester. The sentence: “Two hundred lashes in the public square, then hanging on the gallows until death.” The court further ordered that, when the body was removed from the gallows, it was to be stuffed into a leather bag, along with a dog, a rooster, a snake and a monkey. The bag was then to be sewn shut and thrown into the Rio Tomebamba. The court order continued: “If anyone retrieves the bag from the river he will receive 200 hundred lashes if he is a commoner or be fined 100 pesos if he is a nobleman.”
