Hi my name is Cody I own CJC Off Road along with my brother. We have are an online store and shop based in Bellflower, CA. We started out working on diesel trucks, primarily the Dodge platform. Now we have expanded to all vehicle types and platforms and hopefully we will be able to help you guys out with any vehicle related questions etc. I found this forum thanks to Cris aka BlkWgn and enjoyed lurking for a while as I enjoy getting outdoors as long as my work schedule permits!

Hello Everyone! I was initially inspired by DefconBrix's tacoma build on Instagram. Saw he had promoted the AAV trips, and was immediately hooked. I'm born and raised in good ol flat Florida, but look forward to building an off road cross-country touring vehicle strictly for what you all are already doing! As of now, I don't have that vehicle, but I am in the market for the newish forester XT. Great gas mileage as well as potential for off road. Looking forward to meeting you all soon!

Good to see you have come out of the shadows. Hopefully we can get a build thread on the Overland Build I have heard rumors of.

Hello Everyone! My name is Eric, I'm from Western Pennsylvania(just south of Pittsburgh). My wife(Keely) and I always enjoyed just getting out and driving but in the past few years we have been enjoying just getting away and enjoying roads less traveled and spending the weekends trying to get lost ;)

We like our jeeps,I have a 2002 wrangler X

So far we have been staying local with the jeeps, we only started camping last year. But we love to get down south to Tennessee, and to make a quicker get away to that and for gas milage purposes we take the car, which somehow carries almost the same amount of stuff as the jeeps.

So this is us,Im fairly new to a lot of this but if theres a vehicle involved I tend to catch on pretty quick. Im looking forward to reading the forum to learn as much as I can so we can start branching out to longer adventures and see some more amazing places the United States has to offer.

Hello Everyone! My name is John AKA Toyanvil on line. I just completed my trailer build, so far it has been working great. I just found this site, and it looks like a good resource.

Hello Everyone! My name is Eric, I'm from Western Pennsylvania(just south of Pittsburgh).
Welcome to AAV Eric!

You'll find a parcel of Pennsylvania Ridgerunners kicking about here so if you need some leads or suggestions on areas closer to home just ask away and we'll be glad to help. Where you're home based at adventure isn't that far off with a quick run to the Northern Tier of PA or to the center of the state and we could spend all day jawwing about the area just to the south of you that is all the outdoor goodness of West Virginnie. Again, welcome aboard.

Thank you Haggis! I'll definitely keep you and this forum in mind when we branch out more next year. We have a vacation coming up in a little over a week and plan on camping in the souther part West Virginia in route to Tennessee. We attended the Mid-Atlantic Overland Festival this year and I was lucky to win some free maps from Purple Lizard so we're looking forward to putting those to good use when expanding out to the central PA area.

Toyanvil,Welcome to AAV! Thats a very nice trailer!

Thank you everyone. It was fun building the trailer, but am glad it's done. I am going to Tepui Fest in Hollister Hills, CA next month, can't wait to try my new oven.

Hello all! I'm Eric from the Augusta, GA area and I am just starting down the adventure/overland path. I have a 2013 FJ Cruiser and have been taking it off road a little more than a year now. The picture is from Governor's Basin in CO back in July this year.

Welcome Eric and nice picture. Will you be attending Overland Expo or the Appalachian Rendezvous in October? We're right in your back yard...

Well, I'm not exactly new, but I have never introduced myself.

I'm Steve.
I drive a 2012 Nissan Xterra

I've been to Desert Rendezvous

And Mountain Rendezvous

I guess you could say I like the desert and the mountains!

Hi,
I discovered your forum because I registered for Overland East. I have a Bengal Tiger Adventure Vehicle on a 2011 Ford F-350 extended cab with gas engine and the FX4 pkg. It has 400 watts of solar panels on the roof plus a generator.

I would like to take group trips where an F-350 with a 10 1/2 foot high camper would fit. Would like to go the Appalachian Rendezvous in October if the trails would allow it.
I have driven my rig on the Medano Pass road in Colorado (class 3/4 road). I also drove the Trans Labrador Highway in 2012. I have recovery gear and am willing to add a winch. I have taken off road training with Overland Experts.

I have driven Toyota Hyluxes many times in Nicaragua for mission work. I needed 4x4 mode for mountain roads at night and mud trails in the rainy south.

New to all this.

I live in Asheville, NC. I recently picked up my first 4x4 (have not had a chance to use it like I want). I love the outdoors, everything from camping to mtn biking to sailing.

My RIG:
I was looking for something reliable and capable enough to do basic trail runs but comfortable enough for everyday and/or long trip use. I started off looking at the Taco's but they were not comfortable enough for me (6'2" and Large)... then looked and the Tundra's but they were too expensive. Then looked at Land Cruisers... (Ever since I was a kid I wanted an LC) but many of those around here had been abused... Then I stumbled onto the GX470 very comfortable, and it is a rebadged LC... So I found one in good shape at an acceptable price. LOL a used Tundra cost too much so I ended up with a Lexus... The world is a funny place.

Currently it is STOCK... But that will change eventually.
