My name is James, I learned of this through Jonathan Hansons Overland Tech and Travel and thought I would check it out. Very enlightening.
Greetings all! My name is Shay. My Friends in the Dominican Republic call me Santiago. My family and I are 2 years back in America following a four year tour as Christian missionaries. We helped with the construction of a children's home there. I found the forum thanks to my great friend Scott from Uwharrie off-road training center. He is awesome and I'm very excited that you all are teaming up for the event at his place. For me off-roading is a means to an end. I enjoy it but the river for canoeing in my Old Town Tripper and/or enjoying the camp fire from my hammock is the real goal! My sons and I are enthusiastic members of the Boy Scouts of America which holds the same values and goals as this forum so I already feel right at home.
Very cool. I look forward to meeting many of you at the Appalachian rendevous.

My name is Gerrit. Not sure how I bumped into this forum. I am into off roading and all things outdoors. I recently moved from San Diego to Arizona. My previous off road builds included a Toyota Tacoma, which some people may remember (I used the same screen name back when I was on a Toyota forum). My last build was a Jeep Wrangler 2 door, but missed having a truck bed and room inside. So, I recently picked up a 2006 Dodge Power Wagon with 56K original miles. This will be my new starting point for a build.
I'll post some pics of the Power Wagon in the full size truck section.
Anyways, i look forward to being on the site. Dave, it is good to see you have taken your interests to this level.
Hey guys, another forum noobie here. I found my way here from Facebook, G+, and some YouTube videos. Been doing the Jeep thing since '95 - built up 3 Jeeps, still have 2 of them: my original Jeep, a 1995 Jeep XJ, and our latest Jeep, a 2009 JK Unlimited Rubicon. I've done mostly recreational wheeling and our Jeeps are built along those lines, but I've always had a penchant for expedition/overland type travel and vehicles. I grew up in NW Arkansas and we live just outside the DFW area in Texas now. Married, 2 kids, 4 Siberian Huskies (!).
