NEW MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS!

Just saying a quick hello to all of you on the new forum! I got all excited when I saw AAV! Sorry it's a grunt thing, Amphibious Assault Vehicle!!!
Welcome aboard.
It's funny you said that ---- the first time we were in the Ft Collins area was back in 1998 --- we rode our motorcycle there from Florida to a family reunion and went to the "Donkey Days" party. The bike had a trailer hitch and a fake prop in it. Some boyscouts were admiring it and checking out the prop; I told them it was an AAV. The bike was green and they all nodded, took pictures.

Brainfart edit: That was Fort Carson not Ft Collins.... ....getting old....

Most of the members here should know me as Borrego60. Glad to be here with Dave and everyone else. Will post more later.

Friends call me Jake. I'm the ripe old age of 25, but most days my joints feel like I'm 70. 6th generation funeral director and embalmer. I was married for 10 whole days once. I live on the East Coast in VA and am constantly looking for new ventures out West. I drive an Expo purpose built Tacoma, and use the fetal sleeping technique to fit in the short bed under the softopper, mostly because I hate tents and haven't saved up for a Flippac yet. Spend most if my time on Expoportal reading TacoDoc's build thread and the reports from the Desert Rendezvous. Found a link to this site and hoped that I would find where everybody has disappeared to.

Hey guys,
I'm Mike and I'm a Roverholic.

Now that I'm out of the closet . . .
I heard about this board from this freakishly tall dude that goes by Hilldweller over on Expo. I live in Canton, Ga. and own a couple of Defenders a '97 90 & a '90 110 2 door (hence the screen name d110pickup).
Later,
Mike

We knew who you meant when you said "freakish." Welcome Mike. Do any LO coatings on Tacoma's yet? I got this ticket in Iowa a while back and it still bothers me...
