Love the grill on my 2012 Taco and Dave kick ass build you have!!!

Hmmm... I wonder how this Rigid grill and light bar will look on the Taco?

Here's a quick pic I took of the new All-Pro Offroad APEX aluminum front bumper, 55 lbs! Winch was not in yet for this pic but it is now, skids and LED lighting coming soon along with APEX rock sliders

Notice any road difference? You didn't by chance measure height before and after? Looks great

The ARB was 170 lbs so yes I did notice the nose lighten up on the road, but unfortunately no measurements were taken. Had to get this on and over to Goose Gear for Phase Two of the camper interior.

I'm tagging along on the ARB swap out but I'm going Pelfrey. Hope my past tupperware cut will be ok for new bumper. Going with Dually's in the fogs and 20" bar inset in the bumper

First time I read this I did a double-take, thinking, "is this guy a Limey?" For example, "Take your torch and stick it up your jacksy and take your load of old codswallop elsewhere, on yer bike now, ta ra."

:rofl

So yah- ARB 170 pounds and the All Pro Aluminum APEX is like 25 pounds? Though I never want to find out I wonder how the all pro will do against a deer or elk strike? I have both where I live along with black bears and loose cattle.

The APEX is 55 lbs, and has 1/2 inch plate frame under the skin. I'd expect it to slay deer just like an ARB

Dave we love the new look of your Tacoma :D

For us "Overland Type" of guys weight is very important to keep down where we can. This is why our Aluminum series was developed — over 1 year of R&D before releasing it to the public. Our Aluminum series does have 1/2 reinforcements giving it approximately 3/4 the strength of our steel version (120#) at only 55#.

Thanks for all of your support Dave! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next on you build!

Cheers!

We've been doing a LOT of work on the truck... But we're getting closer to being back on the road now that the All-Pro Offroad APEX aluminum bumper and Rigid Industries LED lighting is squared away ;)

The truck is back on the road after an extended stay in dry dock - new additions include the All-Pro Offroad APEX aluminum bumper, Rigid Industries grill, SR-20 light bar, D-2 driving lights and an SR-50 light bar mounted up top via SoCal Super Trucks brackets.

Now on to wiring and switching upgrades and maybe even some American Adventurist vinyl - and finalizing the as yet-to-be-seen Goose Gear version 2.0 inside the FlipPac.

Stay tuned ;)

I like the new front end. But how many terrawatts of power does that deflector shield on the roof have? It does look like those damn Klingons will have a hard time punching through with phasers and a frontal attack. :D

Can you supply more info on that roof light bar? Is it model specific to the double cab? Will it work with other light bars? How does it mount to the roof? How did you route the wiring?
