Headed out into DV this weekend, wanted to chime in before I lose cell service.

I'd be happy to bring two hanging AR500 plates and the equipment to hang them for the longer range targets. They're both 18". Past 100 yards, they're good for anything below 338.

Let me know if that would be useful.

Absolutely. There is never any harm in to many targets. Sucks to have not enough.

I'd like to explore the remnants of ancient Lake Cahuilla while I'm out there. I've posted a little about it before, here: http://americanadventurist.com/Forum/showthread.php?316-Ancient-Lake-Cahuilla

I don't know if there are any vehicle routes that lead to the "beach" but its at least a six mile round-trip hike from the rendezvous site. I'll be heading out there soon to pretrip a route to the old shoreline and check out some other features in the area. That way if anyone wants to join me during the event, I won't be stumbling around the desert like an idiot.

It's AR500 tango so we are good to go in that department. I have a nice toy to play with too. It has a falling head when you shoot it then when you hit the center of the body it pops the head back up. Again all AR500.

My plates are 12" so 1000 will be very tough for some which means "try harder" right? Lol. I have a new 18" SPR I built that I want to stretch its legs that weekend I think. Nothing better than seeing how far you can lob a 77gr 5.56 accurately.

Richard thanks. My poor taco is packed to the gills when I have the kids with me lol. Fyi I'm located in Corona no clue where you are.

No problem. A friend of mine lives in Corona and stores the steel targets at his place so I can do a two for one deal while I'm out there. I'm in the Torrance/ Long Beach area, but its not a problem to head out to Corona.

Hi Scott:

The "Big thing" has to do with bacon - Lot's of it! And it will occur on Friday afternoon/evening. I still have to talk to Dave to iron out the particulars.

Cam

Did a shake down run with the Camp Chef and the Mojoe today for a family BBQ... It worked great!

Well, I misremembered/overestimated the size of my targets (there's a joke in there, somewhere). They're actually 12", not 18". I'll still bring them, regardless.

Pfft... I'd be pretty proud of that 12-inch size. Just sayin'.

Slip of the click. It happens from time to time. Usually to Cris, but it's really just random.

I almost had my forum feelings hurt.

Anyways, back on track. I'm thinking about bringing this little monster

If anyone is looking for a place to grill up some steaks, burgers, dogs - whatever, cruise on over to my camp area! You'll have to put up with shenanigans, much shenanigans.

Also present will be my Camp Chef two burner stove and Mojoe!

That little monster is a rare bird. No longer made, that Perfect Flame propane BBQ fits in the Snow Peak Iron Grill Table :thumbsup

Thanks for the info, Dave. This was a hand me down when I was helping someone clean out a garage. Seems well built and definitely works well.

Can't wait to check that out!!

You're more than welcome.

I'm trying to find a fitting that will allow me to connect to a standard 20# size tank to one regular size and two Coleman size propane appliances.

Would like to use my 10# tank with the Camp Chef stove, BBQ grill and lantern all at the same time.
Camp Chef uses the regular size, but the other two use the small size.

Any ideas?

I think the Coleman propane tree has both sizes but not sure
