what have you cooked recently?

FRUIT BURRITOS!!!

we took some apples, made applesauce out of them, (chunky).

Then I took flour tortillas, coated them with butter, sprinkled sugar/cinnamon on them
put in a spoon or two of the applesauce.
wrap them up and DEEP FRY until golden brown
roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture
Serve hot with ICE CREAM!!!!

I cooked some venison cube steak with mashed potatoes and gravy a couple of nights ago......they didn't last long enough to be photographed....
 
Not cooked yet, but soon it will be my birthday dinner. Yum yum. Standing Rib Roast. Lucky for me, beef is not an exotic food in my house

Awesome roast Jim and Happy Birthday. One of those will be in the oven for Christmas along with a lamb leg.

Thanks. Birthday is actually tomorrow but we both work all day Tuesday so today is celebration day since it takes about 4 hours to cook the roast It's all over now. Oh my! It was delicious!
Rib roast and mashed potatoes with a Boursin cheese topping, honey cooked carrots, and a Coastline Cabernet Sauvignon.

alright I have been in the kitchen quite a bit lately...
First up, sweet potato gnocchi with browned butter and sage. Somewhat labor intensive, it was an experiment of my own design, turned out BOMB.COM

Next, soft pretzels, this is the second time I have made them, I tested my skills with whole wheat flour. Topped with several things including, poppy seeds and ghost pepper salt to name a few.

Then my from scratch lasagna, with ground chicken (at home), squash, sauce(home), noodles (home)
Think I buy pasta? think again.

All of these dishes were made recipe free except the crackers, if you need any help or want to know ingredients ask I like teaching to cook.
If I thought I was good at anything it would be cooking, I am TOTALLY at home in the kitchen, and it is my favorite hobby.
