alright I have been in the kitchen quite a bit lately...
First up, sweet potato gnocchi with browned butter and sage. Somewhat labor intensive, it was an experiment of my own design, turned out BOMB.COM
Next, soft pretzels, this is the second time I have made them, I tested my skills with whole wheat flour. Topped with several things including, poppy seeds and ghost pepper salt to name a few.
Then my from scratch lasagna, with ground chicken (at home), squash, sauce(home), noodles (home)
Think I buy pasta? think again.
Rolling on my Italian Made Atlas roller, with costco wine of course
Assembled by my newly appointed sous chef (wife) she doesn't really enjoy cooking like I do.
Finished product
Ok, now... Real ramen, with real dashi,(look it up, good read)
Real dumplings,
My goal in the kitchen is to make as much as possible from scratch
finished product, someday I will make those noodles, ramen are difficult they require special high alkaline water.
Down-home pot pie
Tri-tip a Santa Maria, CA original, with 7 grain rice, smoked garlic, and balsamic glazed brussels sprouts
hows that for a smoke ring!
More down-home cookin, pot roast with all the good mushy veggies
poppy, flax, sesame seed whole wheat crackers made by the wife
All of these dishes were made recipe free except the crackers, if you need any help or want to know ingredients ask I like teaching to cook.
If I thought I was good at anything it would be cooking, I am TOTALLY at home in the kitchen, and it is my favorite hobby.
