Finally, they put up signs...so NOW you know!

^^^^I that on the news this morning. Someone dropped some coin on those, the news said they were professionally painted, on sheet metal, with heavy duty fasteners used to attach them to the poles.

Yes, and now there's absolutely NO reason to get shot in Minneapolis, just DON'T STARTLE the PO-PO like the sign says and nobody gets hurt! Easy peasy!!!!

God help us! :easy

I tried to make a trip up to Chino Hills State Park the other day for some sunset photos. I was met at the entrance by a Ranger with the lights on the truck going. Apparently, nature closes early and nobody wants to enjoy a sunset from the hills.

it reminded me of a blog post I did last year about how the park has changed since I was a kid. It is a pretty cool area, but it is just as too much population nearby to remain natural. It is pretty sad to see.

I've noticed more often than not it's because they don't have the resources to patrol the area as well as would be needed after dark, and are concerned about criminal activity. Still a shame, but it does make sense near the more populated regions.

I understand what their concerns and reasoning are, but I still believe in the statement that closure is not management and goes directly against the principals and purpose of public land

Agreed, but I don't envy the regional manager's task of trying to make due on the meager budget bankrupt California gives them.

^^^^If you do it, let me know, I'll be in for one or two! One long sleeve, one short sleeve XL t-shirt, color doesn't matter.
