NEW MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS!

Hello everyone! I'm Mark from San Diego, CA. I have had several 4wd vehicles, including a trail-built Jeep Cherokee and Comanche. I have been driving a 2001 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 TRD Off-Road since I purchased it new in May of 2001. I decided to upgrade to a new 2017 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4 TRD Off-Road, which I took delivery of this past Saturday. I am excited to have it, after waiting 3 months for the order, and now I am looking for a good home to my 2001 Taco (see Buy and Sell, if you are interested).

I enjoying on- and off-road exploring, camping, climbing, mountaineering, caving, canyoneering, hiking, kayaking, traveling, and outdoor photography. I am a 17-year member of the all-volunteer San Bernardino Cave and Technical Rescue Team, and I am a five-year member of the 501st Legion, the international costuming group dedicated to the bad guys of Star Wars. I am a Sandtrooper (me in my profile pic), and am currently working on a Kashyyyk Scout Trooper and a standard Stormtrooper. We enjoy volunteer for various charity events, and sharing our love of Star Wars.

I look forward to participating in the forums, and hopefully meeting some of you in person at some point.

Hi, guys and gals! My name is Kenny, and I'm a (non) recovering moto-holic. I live and work in Flagstaff, AZ and spend as much time on two wheels as I can. I've done the Jeep thing, and lots of backpacking, and have found that combining motorcycles and camping usually is a recipe for a great time!

I hope to be partnering with some of the staff here to bring you some moto-centric content in the near future, so stay tuned!

...My handle is Happy Joe...long time vehicle modifier, off roader, camper and 4wheeler here; don't care for the extreme stuff though (really dislike fixing body damage).
...been a gearhead since ... the stone ages of points, generators and carburetors... a big fan of multipoint injection.
...prefer ground tents, a comfy cot and a full cooler (at least to start).

@Happy Joe, i'll be living in western Colorado in and around rifle for the two months of September and October if you would like to get together sometime and do some exploring. There are a couple of other people who are interested in having a little Colorado rendezvous somewhere and sometime in the near future. Maybe while I'm out there. Keep in touch and welcome to the site.

John here. Based in Manhattan Beach, CA. New to the overland community. I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 4X4. I enjoy camping, backpacking, nature, the beach, snowboarding, and have recently taken up skydiving. :)

Hoping to learn more about 'overlanding' and looking forward to joining in on some trips around California and/or the Western states in the coming months.
