I'm sorry but as much as I would like one I just cant justify the cost. I just don't get out for as long or as often as a lot of you do so for me for now the cooler is King.
I love my arb strve, but I know quite a few people with edgestars that love them. This fridge talk is right on time for me.
That, and a big AGM battery are on my short list of upcoming mods.
Any leads on fridges? I'm thinking a 43qt edgestar would serve my needs!
As always, I'm open to suggestions.
It's just I remember tales my grandpa would tell about how the "catsup" used to flow freely like red honey... all we have now is ketchup. lol I do remember catsup, just haven't seen a bottle since I was little.
Well, I'd bounce you on my knee and tell you stories of the Brooks giant tomato catsup bottle (water tank) in Collinsville, Il, but I've already had surgery on both knees and don't want to do that again.
My Indel B arrives tomorrow according to Fed Ex... I am excited... even though I HATE PORTABLE FRIDGES! haha...
Game change, right? Glad you like it.Fridge came in yesterday afternoon. I am going to post a more thorough review, but suffice it to say, I got my first "practice" in the form of sitting on the couch, hurling invectives at the debaters, while reaching right next to me for that ice cold beer. Needless to say, the fridge cannot stay there or I may.. stay... there...
Love that sig!I love my Engel, it has paid for itself already by me not having to purchase ice over the past 3-4 years of exploration. Plus none of my food was ruined by melted ice water. If you want a nice but inexpensive fridge, then get to the expo early and pay in advance for the Demo models from the dealers before the expo starts. I got mine at a huge discount and it works great! The only thing I use a cooler for is my home made swamp cooler for glamping in the desert.
Are you gonna eat your Gristle?
Mine was normally $900. I got the demo for $640.Love that sig!
Great idea! I have a 43qt edgestar. It's operated flawlessly for 4 years over approx 3000 off road miles. I may have upgrade it though they if I got a deal.
I like my cooler. A fridge would be neat, but idk, I dont have a fancy(not being sarcastic, i think they're badass) overland kitchen to match it... My trips tend to be less than 7 days so a good roto-molded cooler with frozen water bottles is more than sufficient.
