We found out that Bentley had a thyroid problem. He was hypothyroid. He now takes 2 pills a day and he is a NEW dog! He was a little chubby before, but now he keeps up with Frankie! He might even have more energy than Frankie (Is that even possible??!?!)

Want to know the golden lining to owning a business (besides the constant HR headache and stress?) ......... take your employees of the month everywhere! They are always well received here! (some people even want them to come into the back yard with me!)

Well, we were going to go out to go see the colors two weekends ago, but we got caught up. We had a snap freeze on last Thursday which brought us down to 9° with snow. The next day, literally all the trees turned brown and dropped their leaves!
We went up that Sunday to Cripplecreek to see what colors were left and found a couple yellowish, but nothing like it was showing in pictures. I can’t believe we mostly missed it and we live here!
It just goes To show that if you have a fun idea, you should try to act on it quickly before it’s too late! We’ll have to get the full set of colors next year.

Brittni’s parents came to visit and we had a great time! Found a little color on a drive yesterday!

we also ran across these guys while looking at houses up in the mountains!

Then we cruised down and went through the Garden of the Gods and took our touristy picture!

...and the rest of the story...ANOTHER new car...

yes, sir! Brittni’s Ford Edge was front wheel drive. She wanted an all white wrangler, but finding a white hard top is like finding a unicorn so we got a Grand Cherokee! It’s a great vehicle except these tiny tires got to go...maybe next summer a build will start? (She’s on board for “bigger tires”) haha

Another wrangler is still in our future!

So Frank and Beans got a pretty awesome Christmas gift!!!

Meet Austin! We got him at 95 pounds as a rescue, but he's already up to 112! Colorado Mountain dog (or Great Pyrenees) mixed with Lab?

Then, it was time to take a local hike behind the house and test the off-leash ability of Austin. This started great! It ended with a quarter mile run across the side of a mountain while three dogs thought it was funny to have me chase them while slipping in ankle deep snow!
