I was thinking of getting a cutting board and making pucks out of it with a hole saw.You may want to get some nylon or teflon washers. The least brittle of the two.
I repurposed some old pallets and made a table top that actually came out well! I also had the remnents of an old ez up the i cut up and welded to make a couple brackets to hang off the side of the flatbed.
