Bad News

Machelle had surgery again today to take the plate and screws out of her collar bone, along with a bone chip that was floating around in there.

I just saw the doc, he said it all went well and he is actually pretty happy with the way things have been healing.

The little triangular piece of bone was taken out.

Hopefully she’ll be healed and we’ll be back in the adventure game soon!

Thanks guys. She seems a little more miserable after this go-around. The recovery part is supposed to be easier...time will tell.

She's still mad that we missed KoH, she's determined to be ready for the Baja 500 in June.

...or a better set of stairs than a two foot drop/step from the tailgate to the platform/step stool to get out of the camper.

What I really need is one of those Ford "man steps" with the handrail and step that all pop out of the tail gate!

I mean, you know my solution to this, right? Just get a new vehicle. Problem solved. :wrench

Glad your wife is doing better. We are getting ready for my wife to have a fourth spine surgery. We are glad to have very good health insurance.

@jsusmcvet I've looked at those steps, I just don't think they are sturdy enough. We've been using our current system for years. This was more of a freak accident than anything.

Got it. Our steps came with the camper. They hold my fat ass quite well, but... depending on the amount of beverage consumed I could, at times, need that added grab bar :)
