***Highway 38 is still CLOSED as of today east of Camp Tahquitz - you cannot get to the Camp from Big Bear lake area via 38. You must come up 38 from Redlands/Mentone area.***

REMINDER!

● DO NOT leave any trash behind. No garbage, not even in the metal cans, will be left on site. Pack OUT what you pack in!
● Please greatly reduce your speed whenever you are driving in and out of the venue or when traveling on local roads to recreation sites.
● All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, no exceptions.
● No open fires. Period!
 
**Fire Restrictions ARE in effect at Tahquitz!**
1. Propane Campfire at main ring/stage is allowed. (Campfire in a Can etc is OK i.e. propane)
2. NO individual wood fires. Period!
3. Propane stoves/devices are OK.
4. Charcoal is OK at the main fire ring for cooking on SATURDAY!
No open fires. Period!

Individual PROPANE firepits are OK (Campfire in a Can, etc). Please have your shovel and fire extinguisher handy - it's California in the Fall.

Based on this statement in the first post,, I sort of assume they're updating the process this year to avoid the usual problems. (And maybe forgot to update some of the boilerplate from previous years).

Confirmation would be good, though. :cool:

Camp entrance on left from Barton Flats road (note second gate, the small one, this dirt road goes down the hill into camp).

***DO NOT COME IN THROUGH MAIN CAMP TAHQUITZ GATE ON HYWY 38!***

5. Bathrooms and water is on. Fresh portajohns onsite as well.

6. MANDATORY 15 minute vehicle cooldown at check in PRIOR to occupying campsites. Tall grass and hot catalytic converters are a concern.
 
I can bring a trailer right? (like 20 feet I think) Thinking about bringing friends with a nice glamping setup rather then sleeping in my Jeep? :p

From the first post in this thread:

This is not an RV event. RV's, 5th wheels, pavement-oriented travel trailers, and Class A or C motorhomes are not allowed. Overland, offroad type small trailers ARE allowed.
