Well these photos and all by the members have been awesome but I see a lack of story telling, BS and shenanigans. And where are the staff's contributions to these important camp fire traditions?

I am having problems getting the photos from my camera to my computer... Old busted junk computer!!!..... As soon as I get them uploaded I promise a full trip report from us!

Agreed! :bonk

I will say, as expected, there were a couple of bags of trash left at the area where we gathered them all for the photo op. I picked them both up on my way out as to clear camp. I was a little disappointed that someone would leave their collected trash out there, but all in all, the crew did a good job of packing their stuff out.

I hear you, I also picked up 2 extra bags, I had the room to do so and Dave was notified about it in a good way, not in a bad way.

Yeah I had heard that there were issues in years past with people leaving their trash, so I made it a point to stop by the trash gathering point on my way out on Sunday, since I had 8 feet of bed space I could fill up. It's all good. That being said, I left at about 8 am on Sunday morning, so perhaps the people that left their bags were planning on taking them before they left, but I grabbed them anyway. Put all the bags out with my weekly trash pickup, and they're gone ;)

Big thanks to everyone who came out to the 4th Annual SoCal Desert Rendezvous this weekend - over 100 trucks and people and the biggest potluck, dutch oven competition and trail cleanup to date made this event a HUGE success!

Thanks to all of our Staff here at American Adventurist for doing the good work of the people, and to all of our sponsors and supporters nationwide who help make these events possible!

Thank you for grabbing the bags that folks had left. I looked at the collection point around 0900 when I finished packing and was happy to see that all were responsible for their own bags. Oops. Close enough. If only a few bags were left and we have quality folks like you and Borrgo60 and others to go above and beyond all is good.

I just want to send a big thank you to the AA crew who makes these events possible. I was able to teach my daughter a lot about being responsible this weekend. She was amazed at how much trash we collected. She had fun collecting it too. I ended up bringing home 4 bags including a muffler and a metal trash can. The this group will always have my support. I propose more events though. ; ) 2 a year is not enough. Thanks again!

Like I said, who knows if tbese people who left their bags at the collection point had plans to collect them, but as I drove by the collection point at 8 am or so and notcied bags sitting, and I had almost a full 8 feet of bed space to fill, I had no issues carting out the trash.

Agreed I think we need more than two a year on the west coast!

Plan one once, and I think you'll agree two is plenty. And don't forget to provide free shirts and stickers in your planning! :D

Nothings stopping us from planning small trips amongst ourselves and just getting out there! Anza Borrego anyone?? :) I hear Blair Valley calling out!

I just wanna camp! Diesel fuel cost is an issue for me, but my company car is an awd ford escape.. I could bring that and camping in my ground tent and be happy. I just wanna get back in the dirt.

So depending on weather, we could do Mt Santa Rosa, or Anza Borrego's southern end.

Apryl wanted to make sure we are reserved to do the Joshua Tree thing with Tim... so I think we're in for that. :)

Mitch... i am down for santa rosa mountain... i just cant during april due to all the coachella concerts.
