Overland Expo has donated a full "Overland Experience" training package for the Raffle! (If it's a single person a Single package, if it's a family the Double. Value $270-$485, Overland Expo 2014 in Flagtsaff, AZ!

Spaniards and famous adventure travelers Pablo Rey and Anna Callau ( http://viajeros4x4x4.wordpress.com/a...viajeros4x4x4/ ) will be at Mountain Rendezvous!

They will be giving una presentación libre at 6pm on Friday night at the stage/main fire ring passing on some travel tips and stories about their VAST experiences and adventures!

I am aware that a raffle ticket is included with the donation/registration fee. Is there the option of purchasing additional raffle tickets? Just curious if I should bring a couple extra bucks. Thank you.

No. This is done so it doesn't become a "who spent the most money for tickets" type deal. Everyone that is registered gets one ticket in the pot, so hopefully in the end many more people will end up with something to take home.

Sad news... Lodge Manufacturing is out as a sponsor of the Dutch Oven competition.

They have spent their community support budget for the year. I did not contact them early enough. You can bet that I'll make sure that as soon as their fiscal year ends, I'll be back on the phone with them to make sure they remember us!

That's the only doom and gloom there is for me to report. Which for an event of this magnitude, isn't all that bad!

The upside is we got some REALLY cool stuff from Camp Chef and Snow Peak, so our winners will remain satisfied. I guess we'll all be winners since our tummies will be satisfied too!

We now return you to our regularly scheduled Countdown to Rendezvous!
 
Looks like family obligations are going to trump my plans to attend. I'm out, unfortunately. Next in line...
 
For the life of me, once again I'm not going to be able to make a Rendezvous event. I hope someone is waiting in line ready to go.
 
Astrid and I are going to have to back out this year. Really bummed, but we're strapped for cash and the 80 needs some work. Next in line! Have fun guys and gals!
