Wish I could, Ran perfect and just passed smog on Monday. Drove from LA to the game in Ontario no issues, came back out and it just cranks does not even attempt to fire. Atleast the Reign won 8 - 3

I'm guessing fuel pump. . At your mileage it wouldn't surprise me. Hopefully an easy fix.

My money's on an emissions piece that shut's off fuel in case of a crash or whenever it darn well feels like it. Ask me how I know, my DD is a 2005

Does the tach bounce when you're cranking the engine? If not, I'd suspect the crank shaft position sensor. Can't speak directly for Dodge's, but they are notorious for going out on Jeep's.

Thanks for that bit of diagnostic info Bob, may come in useful some day on the trail. PS how's your lady doing?

right now I am leaning towards either the fuel pump or the TIPM Fuel pump is a bit of a pain, have to drop the skid plates and fuel tank to do it. TIPM is expensive and a dealer only item since it has to be programed on the Dodge StarScan computer

It does bounce, and cranks over nice and strong but no attempt to fire, not even a sputter

OH NO! get her fixed Chris.....

The tow took it straight to my mechanic last night, hopefully I will have info soon

Look at how long that tow truck is

What happened Cris?

Not that great, saw the ortho doc yesterday, surgery next Tuesday to pin the break down by her ankle, followed by 6 week minimum recovery time.

Did you check for spark?

It was 11pm and I leave for work at 5am, so I put it on a tow truck and sent it to the shop so I could get home to bed. I am still leaning towards the TIPM or fuel pump, hopefully I am wrong and it is something simple and inexpensive

I was joking. You don't have spark plugs.

With diesels, if it isn't fuel, its fuel.

Well, looks like the joke is on me then. Doh!

My memory is about as good as... what was i talking about?

The TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Management) computer died and shut off power to the fuel pump. There are multiple class action lawsuits and recalls in regards to this, unfortunately, none apply to the ram. The TIPM is basically a computerised fuse block, so instead of replacing a 25 cent fuse when there is an issue it is a $900 (plus install and programming) computer. Since the TIPM has to be programmed on a Dodge StarScan system, it has to go to a dealership for the work. So, it will be towed to Glen Thomas Dodge after work tomorrow, and will take atleast 4 days for the parts to even come in. Hoping to have it back by next weekend, but it is not looking real good for that.

My Ram is a 2013, and that sounds like the component that I had to have replaced about 3 months ago.

Truck spent more than a week at the dealership.
