Which tire are you using?

Just got back from a trip into the Sierras. My BFG KO2's keep impressing me. They did great except one spot where I had the truck chocked fore and aft. Backed down and took a steeper line without the poorly spaced rocks and up she went.

Just put a set of KO2s on the Jeep today. Only thing I know so far is they are super quiet compared to the BFG MT I took off. Will test out in next few weeks.

I am running 35 12.50 17 Fierce Attitude MT after a bunch of research on tires and lots of different mud tires over past couple decades. Wanted aggressive with better life and manners on-road than Swampers. These were recommended by several local guys that have them on daily driven diesel construction trucks pulling equipment and many online reviews. They are made by Goodyear and in the Kelly TSR/Duratrac family, so I went for it and after about 10-15K I am still glad I got them. I chose these over the others due to getting them before they were really known and the pricing went up. Would definitely recommend.

And by chocked you mean more like an almost vertical granite boulder in the middle of the trail. :lol

Pretty awesome feedback on the KO2. Curious for your long-term opinions. We've been impressed with the set on our 100 Series Land Cruiser thus far.

On a separate note, we'll be at another major tire launch in July. Stay tuned for more details. ;)

Loving these tires!

I have been very please with both the on road and off road manners of the KO2's since putting a set on in March of this year.

The biggest difference that I have noticed is better traction overall, especially during wet conditions. We drove through several storms during our trip to Zion NP recently, and we impressed with the new siping (sp?) that BFG has added to this version of the A/T KO.

Having been blessed with a 60,000 mile set last time out, I would expect the same performance from these.

So far so good. :thumbsup

Nice feedback and we, too, have been impressed with the KO2.

So, tell us more about your Zion NP trip? Sounds awesome (and could be a good subject for an issue of OutdoorX4). :)

It's been on the to do list for a while now bit finally upgraded...to the same tire...just newer and bigger.
The BF Goodrich 37x12.5 17 KO2s.

Looks great!!!

By the way, the new Cooper STT Discoverer Pro media launch was last week and we were there for the unveil. Stay tuned for some editorial on that tire in an upcoming issue of OutdoorX4. ;)
