What's Your Favorite Driving Music?

You and my wife have something in common that is disturbing.........

-Andy

What - she likes pie, too?

That's something I never thought he listens to.

Actually that was sort of an inside joke... I was accused of being angry, so angry, by another member... if something is worth overdoing it's worth overdoing a lot.

Mastery of inside jokes and overdoing it are all required for AAV BS Certification.

I picked that up.

...and Audrey Hepburn movies? You chose well Andy; clearly a woman of superior taste...

So, what was Audrey Hepburn's last film?

Hints: it didn't "burn" down the box office; it was a cameo role; it's film locations inspired travel to thousands of overlanders (including this one who visited those sites); and it included classic WWII aircraft.

"Always", she was an angel.

I do love the Pink Floyd, but for the open highway when I am starting to doze off, it has to be Golden Earring "Radar Love"

Pink Floyd while wheeling slow in the desert at night.

We have a winner!!

Dark side of the moon during a full moon out in the middle of nowhere... That's how it was meant to be listened to. Some might say synced with The Wizard of Oz, but I disagree.

It only synced when you were really stoned. Not that I would know anything about that.

Just give me the Echoes best of and I'm good with Pink Floyd.

But for driving I'm gonna go with Tom Petty, Boston and a little Spencer Davis Group.

If you have not, check out JD McPherson. Young guy fronting some straight up three piece rock and roll (including stand up bass), like nobody has done in years. Good stuff. I would put in a link, but I know you all know how to use youtube.

One of my favorite jams of all time... Deep Purple's "Lazy" from the Machine Head album

Here's one I'm learning to play right now, another long time favorite (HUGE Floyd fan!) I get some good motivation from watching the master. Most of my best creative work has been done with this album, the Wall or Animals playing in the background. Still not sure which one is Pink though...
