Snow Peak....anonymous

Do you have a website with your stuff, or is it mostly just custom orders?

No website... just the Snow Peak thread on ExPo and here. Its crossed my mind.... Just hard to make the time being a full time Marine... Everything is made to order.... for now... I have a ouple of the Snow Peak cutting board/knife pouches made up.

Ok. Hopefully one day I will be able to get the Snow Peak cutting board and knife. Right now it is just an obsession with everything Titanium from Snow Peak. If you are at Expo East I would love to meet up and see some of your handy work in person.

Nothing to do with Snow Peak but I made these bags... a reboot of my EDC bag I made back in 1998. The OD green one will be donated to the raffle along with a Desert Rat Designs patch. The bags are constructed of 2 quilted layers of 1000 denier cordua material with bound edges and layer of plastic sheeting in the bottom, creating a rigid base. The OD green bag features a layer of padding between the material and a cordage retention system for inside/outside the bag.

a thing of beauty right there

That's a bummer. Guess I will have to catch you at another event down the road. New bags look great BTW!
Overland Expo East - go there to learn or shop. An experience one must do at least once in their life.

Rendezvous Events - go there to learn, do, and practice. An experience one can do at least 3 times per year, every year.

For the less loquacious... "Rendezvous's are where the rubber meets the road".

On a side note while I'm thinking Snow Peak...

:soapbox

I really wish that Snow Peak, especially Snow Peak USA, would get off the "fashion forward" bandwagon of making ludicrously priced and even worse looking "camp clothing" and get back to designing and selling the best camping gear on the planet.

The metrosexual Japanese hipster-chic-urban... bamboosexual thing just doesn't work. I warned some of their top USA folks (who have since jumped ship) that their clothing line was going to be a debacle and it is.

Last time I was in Japan I checked out some of the clothes just for shitz and giggles. While some are super soft, most are just kinda awkward. Not to mention everything is super ugly. Not a single person was looking at the clothes, only the camping equipment.

Another Snow Peak store I checked out was in a high end mall in Seoul. It was probably 90% clothes and most of the camping stuff was odds and ends not really the kits. I swung by the next time I was in the mall and it was a Lego store. So if the Koreans aren't willing to wear their clothes then they might as well give up (Koreans wear the oddest things sometimes).
