September Monthly Trail Run - Sunday 09/24-25 Big Bear Overnight

If you want, you can have my group as our own little wheelin' group and we'll "coincidentally" run into you at the trailhead. I'm still unsure what the camping plans are for everyone. There was talk of Serrano (sold out) or a group camp (too many vehicles). haha I'm trying to stay out of the planning as much as I can and just hope the plan doesn't change much.
We can discuss it at all at the driver meeting. I think we are fine at this point.

Hey guys,
@Garrett just roped me into signing up on this forum because he is a horrible source for information about things, so I figured to go after the source.

I understand that we will be camping in Holcomb Valley, do we have a site in mind? I thinking that I may want to come up on Friday afternoon so that Saturday I don't have to wake up as early and I can leave the roof and cooler at camp before we go and have fun.

Thanks,

I was thinking of camping on one of the open spaces off 3N07 which is the road north of Wilburs Grave that leads to the pinnacles.

But since @BlkWgn is talking about heading up Friday lets see what he has in mind also.

I'm going to add you to the wait list but since @Garrett has discussed running a second group we can easily do that. We will just all meet at the normal driver meeting and either run it as one group or break it off into two groups then.

Also, FYI... I am the Andy (number 7) that @Garrett has been chatting about.

Never fails, as soon as I commit to something, things change.

Dust Junkies Racing is chasing for a Trophy Light team in this years Baja 1000. The team that we are chasing for has asked us to do a shakedown race at the Lucerne PCI 300 race on the 24th, so I'm going to have to back out of this run. Racing, with the team paying for my fuel and food trumps a trail run!

Jealous. Sounds fun.

There are a couple of larger areas along 3n07. It is hard to see the land marks on google earth (the current sat image has snow) but it 34.305468, -116.888427 should get you close.

That definitely sounds like a ton of fun. Take some pictures if you can!

@BlkWgn - how much space is there at base camp? Are you bringing your trailer? Could I fit a trailer, too? :D
how much space depends on who gets there first and what site they grab. At this point Paige is not going so I will just need 4 miles for the truck, and room for a swag. Either way we should be able to get a spot big enough for trailers.
