NEW MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS!

Howdy everyone, I'm Dave, born and raised in Wisconsin, I've been living the last 10 years in Washington state. I drive constantly evolving WJ Grand Cherokee. I love the outdoors!

Washington is a awesome state.I use to live up there as a kid/teenager, in the Tri-Citys(Pasco,Richland,Kenawick), lived in Yakima for a couple years. A great place for awesome views.
I've been on here for about a month now, and this forum is awesome. Lots of help and friendly guys, that walk the walk. Not internet Overlanders.

Hello everyone,

I'm not a huge forum guy and was pretty turned off by that "one other website" (you know the one...) but have decided to branch out a bit! I'm usually active on ih8mud and somewhat active on our local board, mostly for trip planning and events.

Dave--we spoke a few times (never met in person) a few years ago when you were looking at putting something on up here in WA state with a mutual friend from the Grays Harbor area. You and your colleagues have done a tremendous job building the AA community.

My name is Mike, I've been camping out of Land Cruisers (whenever possible) for the better part of the past decade, and have also done the Army/college thing. I'm about to finish law school up here in WA state and absolutely love the PNW. My fiancée and I enjoy getting out whenever possible. We've got two dogs that know the word "truck" and "camp" so I suppose they enjoy it just as much as we do.

I've owned a lot of trucks over the years, new and used, petrol and diesel, RHD and LHD, and have always come back to the 80 series cruiser. I've settled on two 1997 LX450's, one a wagon for the family and the other a single cab ute I've built over the past year.

Everyone loves pictures, so here are a few:

I look forward to finding my way around the site and meeting some fellow outdoor enthusiasts!

Hello all, just joined the AAV community. Spent some time in Uwharrie NC with TangoBlue a few weeks ago and finally got a chance to get on here and sign up. I hope to be an active contributor in 2016 as I will have a lot going on transitioning from active duty to starting a business in WV. It will be overlanding oriented. So more to follow.

TangoBlue,
Looking forward to doing more comfortable camping. Most of my Military camping was off my vehicle in desert locations. So I will be outfitting mine and the wife's vehicle with those little comfort items. Fridge, stove etc.

No worries @Thomas B... American Adventurists has developed an accelerated program to transition former Service-members into civilian-style camping. In no time we'll have you conditioned to be a "Certified Glamper." ;)

Hey everyone, I was so glad to find such a substantial group of like minded individuals who also can't get enough adventuring into the unknow.

2 months ago I quit my jod and changed my career back to my families farm, this however left me with several things I had never imagined being possible, time and a bit of saved up money; so my girlfriend and I embarked on a winter long trip across this amazing country to intimately experience some of the amazing places she has to offer. We are now halfway through our trip and I will be returning back to my home in upstate NY where I will help begin for the new season at the farm. I keep a Vlog, and pretty regularly update my Instagram and invite any of you to follow along and also let me know if anyone else has such things, I am always inspired to see what other people do and where they go!

YouTube is: Johannes Courtens
