You gotta love a forum name of JDAM, I tell you what. Joint Direct Attack Munition... a bolt-on guidance package that makes dumb bombs smart. Good piece of gear.

Welcome to the forum - you already made a big bang with that name!

Tim, fairly certain you and Adam could spend a few hours discussing this and that. Adam is a very understated person, and was the first person to teach an old dog some new tricks. Stoked he'll be joining Tom and I on this trip.

Adam makes three of us from Disconnected Offroad coming South. We expect to be joined during the days by a friend from Carolina Metal Masters.

Hello All,

My name is Jon. I have a lifelong love of camping, offroading, and the outdoors. I am from the Southeastern US, but am currently living in Dubai. Most of my trips these days are to the deserts of the UAE and the mountains in Oman. I have finally gotten my wife into camping and offroading, so I am looking forward to getting back out there when we move back home. Meanwhile I’lltease you with some photos of the dunes and our toys.

Welcome Jon! I've been to Oman and roamed a good bit of the southwest from Salalah in a Pajero, beautiful country but you can keep that 127 degree stuff

:home

Salalah is supposed to be great, but we haven't made it down that far south yet. We like Oman this time of year because it's so much cooler in the mountains. It's the only bearable place to camp in the summer. Winter in the desert is perfect though.

Hello to the American Adventurist community! My name is Joe Fanaselle, and I am a resident of Southern California who loves to explore. I work full time for a major electronics company, and moonlight as a breaking news photo journalist in my spare time. I spent several years as a volunteer firefighter and keep myself close to the public safety world through my photography.

Welcome, I used to do stringer work myself. I shot for InlandNews for a few years and did my own thing for a short time. Keep hoping I will have time to go back to it, I had a blast and really miss it

:keyboard Yeah, some people make the transition to American Adventurist more easily than others... you'll fit in real well here. :D

Hello all, name is Laura... LOVE THE OUTDOORS... excited to be here :)

Love Hiking, Camping, Fishing, and of course Waterfall Hunting!

Hi! My name is Shaun. I'm new to overlanding and looking forward to making some new contacts and perhaps a few good friends. My girlfriend Angie and camp nearly every opportunity. I have a 2002 Tundra with about 200k on it, but she's a great truck! I believe the best overland vehicle is the one that keeps on running...

Hi I'm Richard aka EO2fastener. I'm an avid outdoors guy, who loves camping, hiking, and taking photographs outdoors. Also enjoy kayaking, canoeing, biking, and climbing. I'm ex-military and used to jump out of perfectly good aircrafts... Indoors, I like to workout with weights; and started running again... Off course really enjoy shooting, both hand guns and the AR. Had to put aside some of those things for a while as my wife and I had to play chauffeur to the kids during little league stuff, to Varsity activities, and to one (our daughters) Collegiate sports activities for fast pitch softball. Kinda getting back into the game, and off life tries to get in the way. I invented the (EO)2 Fastener/Mounting System to take care of some of the issues of carrying gear when we used to camp a lot when the kids where younger. Some of you guys have already used (EO)2. You can Google it and check it out for yourself. One of its uses is the securely mount your Pelican cases on your rig, and be able to take it off in a snap...

Hi everyone. I'm Mike, I go by Klink on most forums. My current rig is a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon which is starting to become nicely, yet moderately modified. It's a constant build, but it gets me everywhere I want to go and more importantly, back home afterwards. I own and run DisconnectedOffroad.com, another forum site that is mostly Jeep based, but open for anyone any anything having to do with off-roading and the outdoors. I was sent over here by Phoenix, who is a good friend and a moderator on my site, who had told me about the Appalachian Rendezvous. I had indented on trying to get down to the event, but as I live just 10 minutes outside of Philadelphia and work as a Firefighter/EMT, the Pope visit has completely cancelled out any travel plans for me during that weekend. (I highly recommend to anyone attending the Rendezvous to completely stay clear of Philadelphia from Friday to Monday that weekend).

Anyway, even though I have my own site, I love to read about the travels of others and seeing what is going on in the off road world. Look forward to reading up here.

Here's some photos of my Jeep.

Hello everyone! My name is Ryan, I'm 19, from Southern California, I love exploring, and I'm in the midst of building an overland /prerunner 2000 Toyota Tundra.

I just picked up a camper shell and built myself a solar generator to power a small fridge for when I go on a real trip. But for now its nice being able to bring cold drinks and sandwiches to the top of a mountain even in this California heat.

I haven't ventured too far to go on any expedition trips but if anyone has any suggestions for some cool spots in my area let me know. Heres a few shots of my rig from completely stock to how it is now.

Welcome, there are a ton of us here in SoCal. Feel free to jump in on a trip when you see one posted up, or post where you want to go, it is usually not very hard to get people to come along
