NEW MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS!

Guess I should chime in here...don't think I have introduced myself as of yet.

I'm Andy...retired Coast Guard Chief (23 years), 14 of those in Alaska where adventure was literally right outside my backdoor. Love vehicle adventure travel (not a fan of the "O" word), camping, hiking, fly-fishing, fly-tying, fat biking, and canoeing.

I'm adjusting to life outside the military (holy crap, I'm NOT a fan of the civilian workforce!!!), AND trying to adjust to living in Southwest Michigan (things are SOOO different here from Kodiak, Alaska!).

Anyhow...I've traveled all over Alaska, the Yukon and Northwest Territories on a Ural. Have always owned at least one "adventure travel" vehicle, too. Currently that's a 2002 Isuzu Trooper, which as it turns out, is probably the most capable and certainly largest interior rig I've ever owned. She's an absolute BEAST in the snow, and so far has done pretty well running off-road on some 2-tracks.

Peace!
Andy

Hi Chief and welcome aboard!

Were you on the Sedge? That is the ship that pulled in the fishing trawler I was on more than once back into Homer.

Nope...but I was on the Yocona out of Kodiak for 6 months in 1991. The rest of my time up there was spent in the marine safety and security field.

Sean here, first of all Thanks to Dave for suggesting the site. He stopped at my booth during the march 2018 prepper show in Lake Co. I am an Infantry Veteran from the suburbs of Chicago. I do some military vehicle events in Wi/Il and run south to Kentucky and Florida as much as I am able. Absolutely a diesel guy. I have built quite a few of my own vehicles including my daily driver. As well as many military and heavy diesel builds. I have a small group of friends that sell humvees, stevensons and 5 ton 6x6s after we improve them. Before I retire I plan on building a diesel motorcycle. Glad to be here, I saw alot of diverse content.

Checking in, I have been lurking for a while and finally decided to join. Gave up on Facebook some time ago and I miss trip inspiration and vehicle build ideas, so I am finding a return to forums seems a logical fit. Recently sold my long time tow vehicle, trailer, and Jeep in favor of building something that will allow my wife and I to explore the backcountry and camp beyond the reach of our previous set up. I have been offroading the majority of my life in various forms and fashions and find it interesting that my tastes have come full circle, back where we started to what trends now call overlanding.
Currently converting my old 1996 F250 desert racing chase truck into a rig that will allow us to explore trails, while packing in all our gear for extended time off the grid.

Hey there!

My name is Cristin with Expedition Supply from Salt Lake City, Utah! Our company exists to build the toughest off-road, outdoors, adventure, and expedition camper trailers on the planet. We provide a single source to dream, design and build your custom creation, the last trailer you’ll need for life which will take you places no other trailer can.

A little about me - I currently drive a heavily modified Toyota Tacoma and spend nearly every weekend offroad, camping, exploring and adventuring. I'm an active member of the Utah offroad community, certified Trail Host through Utah State Parks Off-highway Vehicle Program, and activist for the trails we are so lucky to have free access to. Thanks for allowing me to be a part another awesome community of like-minded individuals!

Hey everyone. I’m Will from Philadelphia PA. I’m former military intel and currently a hospital research coordinator with a serious gear addiction. My wife and I have a running love affair with the outdoors and travel. Recently back from Amsterdam and planning our next Grand Canyon adventure. When I’m not hitting the trails (as much as an urbanite truly can) I’m working on my ‘73 Honda cafe racer and/or my WRX rally car. Super stoked to be here
