Jumping ship

I hereby decree an official group be founded and accorded all the recognition and privilege due their status as members of...

... The First 56

:salute

You just made my day. I'm no longer Charlie Brown, now i'm like Navin R. Johnson.:D

I must have been on the wrong threads. I haven't even been in communication with any Europeans on there.

I think it's a good thing for them to be in touch with real Americans. How can they not love us?

I still enjoy visiting expo, and probably will for a long time. There is tons of great info for travel, gear and vehicular modification. What dissapointed me was that when I would venture out of those areas, I often discovered I had very little in common with euro members and their political views.

Trust me when I say my interactions with the euros IRT things like our rights, traditions and beliefs in the USA has been uniformly negative.

Seems most I run into online are socialist ingrates who have forgotten our past sacrifices on their behalf and think we need to dumb down our society and get on board with their morally and fiscally bankrupt vision of the future.

There will be no politically correct marginalization of our culture or traditions here in favor of some other perspective. This is American Adventurist.

Screw that.

I think our own government is dumbing down our own society with entitlement programs and hand outs... Obama!!! Where's my free cell phone???

were not as important as the advertisers or the "new-bees" that are ready to run up the credit card for all the "trick" kit that they just have to own (but don't need) to be in the EXPEDITION in-crowd.

this is exactly what was bothering me, the "you need this $200 waterproof bag Buy once Cry once." crap

This was it for me too, i'm all for buying quality but not at the sacrifice of not being able to enjoy the outdoors. plus i really like the idea of people not hi jacking build threads, I said "Hell ya" when i read that rule.

My build thread over there got hijacked a few times.
Also staff there will not consolidate multiple threads when non searching newbs start up a new topic when five threads down is the same topic.

It got to the point I quit viewing new posts and only check old ones I am subscribed to.
Felt there was way to much chest thumping going on too.

I could go on and on, but I think many see what has transpired there.
Do not even get me going on the invisible mod who only posts to chew someone out.

I'll keep it simple. I don't visit ExPo much any more. It lost something important to me, but I probably couldn't tell you exactly what or exactly when.

Deleted the post for you... You don't actually have to use ANY code to make a link, Vbulletin automatically makes copied/pasted links into clickable links as long as they have the http part at the front.

Thanks for the tip Mitch. When I hit "Preview" it did not show it as a link, so I thought I had to hit something to make it a link. After when I hit edit in this thread. All I get is a gray screen (not a white typing box). And no ability to edit or delete.

Need to make it the first 57!:D

I actually thought I registered before the site went active.

Just hover your cursor over your name. Your number displays in a little box at the bottom of the page. :stars Make some noise for number 43 - HillDwelleeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!:run

So I seem to be lucky 13....... and I was the first one to break a rule. Gotta have 25 posts to list something for sale, ha ha. :peek

Sigh. I am just a pawn in the game of life, LOL
