Is the all-electric Rivian R1T a dream truck for Adventurists?

Passed one of the pickups on the streets of Northern Virginia last week.

Had a convo with a relative who now drives a Tesla. He shared that the strategy for distance needs to change. Where you or I drive until we need fuel and then stop, he says its more of a get it when/while you can. If he stops for a stretch break or meal, he recharges the car instead of driving to near empty.

I always thought the gas station like model for EVs was wrong. Interstate restaurants like Cracker Barrel, Bob Evens, etc.. could capitalize for the need for the customer to linger.
