2022 Desert Rendezvous: Picture Dump

Crew members were kept busy at check in. Erika, Paige, and Inger were amazing! Huge thanks to them for all they did all weekend not only at check in but with selling American Adventurist shirts, filling swag packs, helping with the kids scavenger hunt and assisting during the Saturday evening cookoff/potluck. The Friday evening "Burger Burn" Sponsored by American Adventurist featured local sourced burgers from a butcher in Quartzite along with locally cooked sliced buns. All the burgers were consumed and enjoyed. We look forwarded to doing it again next year with possibly "expanded" menu options.

Going to switch gears here. I love dogs. We had a few in camp over the course of the few days. Very well behaved all weekend and during our post event walkaround we couldnt find any evidence of dogs being in camp. That was awesome!! Thank you for sharing your fur babies with us.

Chris Cole (President of I4WDTA https://i4wdta.org ) and Mike Block (Owner of BackRoad 4WD Training https://www.backroad4wd.com) put an amazing basic recovery class using https://www.safe-xtract.com/ recovery principles and equipment. Was definitely a class you wanted to attend at DRV 2022. Chris drove from New Mexico and Mike from Washington and put on this class for all attendees. The Saturday Potluck and Dutch Oven Cook off was amazing this year with the winning dish receiving the most votes ever received. The second and third place were only separated by a few votes. All types of foods were available from Chili with both an I and an E (If you know...you know) Jambalaya, Fish Boil, Tacos, Meatballs, Bacon Wrapped Buffalo Chicken Jalapenos, The infamous Sushi made an appearance, and last but not least the pickled onions with souvenir jar.

The second set of the cook off shows more dishes and the amount of food presented along with showing the winners received their prizes from @TemboTusk with 1st place receiving the 1st ever Tembo Tusk Fire Pit!!
