I've been researching this for some time. The things I've read can be way overboard. Looking for a practical tool bag that will do what I need it for, but not take space or add more weight to my trailer or tow vehicle. I am new to the overlanding, but no stranger to camping with a rig. I had a fine tool bag that served its purpose then.
I agree. The number of tools I see people carrying is crazy. Some lists are better suited for Baja chase vehicles or a rock crawling team rather than a backcountry traveler. I sit back and wonder if they've really had a need for all of it. My kit started off large and has been reduced now to what barely makes use of the space inside my Blue Ridge Overland Gear tool bag. I don't even bother carrying any SAE tools anymore. That said, anyone reading this: don't expect I've got your tool needs covered unless you're in an import.
That was fine then but it simply won't do now.
Is it tactical? Or, does it say "expedition" anywhere on the bag? Does it have loop Velcro to attach gear patches on it so you can rapidly view the contents?

I have been thinking of ditching the SAE tools(in my truck), since I never use them. For tool storage I have ATC tool rolls and bags.

That looks like it will do a better job. Personally I have decided to stick with ATC. I like their stuff and are a local company.
