Narrated by David Attenborough.

"The real war for survival is waged over production. Every socket has to prevail over its competitors. The 150mm's approach to production gives it a singular edge. But its strategy is fraught with challenges. Collectively, 150mm produce far fewer 10mms than the other sockets, and they come here to spawn just once, in the spring. Surging currents gather all the sockets in masses. For the 150mm, that presents an opportunity. There are far fewer of their 10mms amid the countless billions of others. By sheltering their sockets amid the mass production, they keep them hidden from mechanics."

There is another matter... one I'm reluctant to...
One of our ships, a Moskva, was last reported in the area of the Black Sea. We have not heard from her for some time.

Andrei, you've lost another ship?

In 1986, off the coast of Greece while I was on the USS Caron, DD970, We surpised the Moscova (Slava at the time) at anchor. We watch as the Moscova (Slava) start her main turbines from cold iron while we spooled up our remaining turbines. Both ship then sail about 300 yards apart for more than 45 minutes. Full power runs were part of the show. It was very cool. The Spruance class DD's and Yorktown Class CG's and the Slava class CG's have similarities.

It’s getting warmer outside. Don’t forget to check your exhaust coolant levels!
