I read somewhere that dash cams are required to get insurance in Russia

Not sure of that fact, but if you watch those you do see a bunch of attempted fraud by pedestrians claiming to be "hit" by the motorist. Makes me want to get one just to cver my assets.

From what I've read, they arn't required but with all the fraud and corrupt cops you need one to protect yourself and insurance is insane high without it.
