Synthetic Winch Rope recommendations

I have a Warn power-plant 9.5 winch. It came with 125' of 5/16 wire rope. I have 2 bad kinks. I am looking at synthetic rope. I think I want 100' of 3/8 rope. Can anyone recommend a good brand, vendor, price? I saw this on amazon.

I don't have their winch rope, but I trust the fellas over at Southeast Overland. They roll theirs from amsteel, which seems to be standard among respectable companies. I live less than an hour from them, so I can pop on over to their shop and have watched them make a rope right there in their shop. When it comes time for me to buy one, that's where I'll go. My snatch rope is made by them.

Following, this is what I want to do with mine.

I have never heard anything bad about AmsteelBlue. I was looking at Fireline too.

I use Custom Splice. I have a rope and and extension from them as well as their soft shackles.

Seems there was an article not to long ago by Matt Scott showing how several companies weight ratings didn't hold up in a test of snatch straps. Yes I know, snatch straps aren't what we are talking about. But if those same companies are mentioned here and their products weren't what they claimed maybe that QC should be taken into consideration on your winch line as well.

Ok @sfsmedic, there's some relevance between snatch straps and comparative winch lines but your post is mostly vague innuendo which isn't very helpful. Could you be more specific with the results? Vagueness results in confusion which leads to fear, than anger, than hate and finally the dark side of the force.

Maybe he missed this article. So let's see the details, I am beyond curious and couldn't find the vaguely referenced Matt Scott piece. Southeast Overland doesn't produce snatch straps, they do make custom kinetic recovery ropes.

None of it was vague. I just remember an article where Matt Scott (I only remember who wrote it because someone mentioned it a couple weeks back) tested a bunch of companies snatch strap ratings. Most were far below what they said they were rated at. If any of those companies are companies you're looking at then maybe you don't want to buy from them.
Seemed pretty straight forward to me. I gave all the info I remembered for someone to possibly do more research on the subject they're interested in.
And the relevance wasn't between snatch strap and winch line but a brands quality between its own products. Especially when your life could be on the line.

My recommendation is this. Put price aside - good winch line spliced and prepared by a good company will cost a bit. Stay away from oddball brands or anything from overseas.

That said, Bubba Rope is amazing. Warn is good as is Winchline (aka Viking), Master Pull, and Amsteel Blue.

Yes, there are lots of little companies splicing and making ropes these days and they are fine too IF they are using no kidding UHMWPE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) like Spectra or Dyneema fiber made in USA.

Buy once, cry once :)

We have a great thread that covers synthetic line and more in detail HERE on this Forum

Dyneema fiber made in USA.

Just to be clear for everyone...

Dyneema is a registered trademark of Royal DSM, a Dutch company, that has licensed production of the synthetic fiber in many countries. If you are buying something that is made of Dyneema, it is guaranteed by the company for quality standards.

I just order an Amsteel rope from them. I'll post some pic of the install
They're good people. That relationship is worth the little bit more they charge than other splicers. Steve has been incredibly helpful in getting my recovery gear prioritized and set up.
