Rocky Road Outfitters??

I'm looking at a OME kit for my Monty. I've found a couple places that sell their kit here in the good ol US, but never get a call or email back. So I found Rockyroad.com (Rocky Road Outfitters) but I've never heard of them myself. So my question is have any of you guys done business with them? Please let me know good or bad.
Or if you know of another vendor that sells them or a recommend company. I tried CCS but after the quote for custom made springs,. I contacted to make the order but it's been a couple months and no reply to my emails or call backs from me calling.
Mine is a early 91 coils in the rear not leaves.

I bought some parts from them for one of my jeep builds back in mid 2000's. Easy to deal with. They seem to have a following among "hard to find aftermarket parts for" rigs.

Coil springs? Have you contacted Moog? I was able get a progressive set of coil springs for my van that gave me about an inch (which is what I was going for to level) after a little research on their catalogue, knowing the stock spring specs and verified by asking them about it on Twitter.

To be honest I just did a general search on their site, but what you said is a good idea. I'm not looking for a huge lift,.just a inch or so. Really just looking to replace the "bro stance" I have. They are really really soft in the back as to with my 200lb she drops down pretty quick.

I purchased an OME kit from Rocky Road not to long ago. They were very helpful and shipped the kit pretty quickly.

Awesome! I couldn't find any neg about them. But I wanted real info from people that have actually bought from them. I've heard nothing but good reviews about OME for the Monty. Thanks again.

Rockyroad is a solid company. I've bought from them before with no issues.

Bought my OME setup from them back in May. Excellent communication, response times, service. Highly recommended by the AZ Crawler Mitsu crew. 5 stars. Would so business again.

(Also want their OME torsions and house brands sliders. So hot.)

Perfect! Yeah I was just planning on the springs and shocks, but after talking with a few friends they twisted my arm, and I'm going to save up a little more coin and get the bars also. If I'm going to do it might as well do it all.

To quote our fellow member "Buy once, cry once.

The shocks won't need to be removed to do the bars. I'm not sure of the cost savings of getting the whole package for the monty but for my trooper it wasn't much so I got the shocks and rear coils since I had the money "now" and will go back for the bars when that time comes. Honestly, I'm not crawling with it so the bars aren't really necessary. My friend was a 4x4 custom fabricator in the DR and he told me to stabilize the steering before worrying about the bars since I only lifted it 2 inches. I'm still going to do the bars at some point.

Humm good to know. I don't do rock crawling either, I will have to sit down and think on it for a few. Stabilize the steering is a must as the wheel gets jerky on the really rough terrain, to where I have a death grip on the wheel.
Thanks a lot for your reply as it gives me more to think about. As I want it done right the first time and not just dropping money that can be used other places.

That was basically his reasoning as well. He said that I am much more likely to damage the steering than the torsion bars given the fact that I don't crawl and I don't try to hit obstacles at high rates of speed (which would likely damage both). Ultimately, I want to do both. But, for now anyway, he implied that my money was better spent on the steering stabilizer than on the torsion bars. If I was lifting much higher, then the torsion bars would have been needed from a lift stand point. But on the Trooper you can get 3 inches or so out of the stock bars without compromising their structural form. Not real sure about the Monty.

edited grammar.

Not sure on mine I cranked them up 2" to clear the 33x12.50 tires, but it's really stiff so I think I'm about at the limit. Thats one of the reasons I was looking into the bars, thinking it would soften the harshness some. I put some kyb(buying time) shocks on about 4months ago, as the stock ones leaked when I first got her and it helped out some.

And I haven't touched the torsions on mine yet or installed the OME springs, but I can tell you the struts made an immediate difference on my gen 2.5.

Original, adjustable struts were long gone. Swapping in the OMEs tightened things up nicely on pavement. Really brought out the high speed, touring performance that separates the Pajero from less sophisticated trucks. It's firm, yet compliant.

Off road, the ride is even better, as the OMEs do a damn fine job of soaking up the rough stuff. Washboards will always be a PITA, but they no longer seem to rattle the interior trim apart. Slow things down to roll over roots, rocks, and rough spots, and it's almost buttery smooth.

I'm extremely pleased to say the least.

I got my Airflow snorkel from them about 4 years ago. No complaints

I bought my full OME kit for my 99 Gen 2.5 from them. Good interaction by phone and delivered on time. I would use them again.

I also like Sierra Expeditions and recommend them as well.
