I think we're like rats in a cage in some areas of the country. Too many people, too many confrontations.

The problem is respect. Respect for each other mainly.
Hey! There's some nice large green spots in VA south of DC.....
Never mind. That's Quantico, The FBI Academy and AP Hill.
West Florida looking good there!
First of all, there really isn't any wheeling there. You have to head to Ocala or the Panhandle for that. Secondly, that is the Blue Hair Capitol of the World. What they don't have in numbers, they make up in average age. BUT, if you do go, there are some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. Great boating, fishing and seafood. Great places to camp and paddle. I say visit on vacation and go back home.
I get it, I agree about the panhandle. The Panhandle though is the Panhandle. West Florida though is something altogether (Tampa, Ft. Meyers, Naples). The panhandle is southern Alabama. That is not a bad thing though with the way that Central and South Florida are changing. I know. I have lived here for almost 45 years.
Folks here must not have seen the memo then...
University of West Florida is in Pensacola as is West Florida Hospital. Google search “west Florida” and the top three are Pensacola.
Then there’s this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Florida
Speaking of not getting the memo... I thought you lived near Chicago!
You really mean that you weren't looking forward to another wonderful Chicago winter?New job, moved to Florida in August. Pretty happy with the change of scenery too.

If you do , feel free to head up my way. I’ll let you shovel the drive just for old time sakes. Not gonna miss that one bit.

Might take you up on that after the first of the year.
