Up until now, these have been as rare as hen’s teeth here in America. My first impressions are pretty good, and I am happy to say this tent has a mattress worthy of a man my size. Very comfortable.

Here’s some detail photos of this bomber RTT from Quick Pitch North America

I noticed your dig at All-Cab in your build thread, something abut fanbois and dead cats, but are they related companies? Other than the rounded corners they look shockingly similar.

Alu-Cab: South Africa
Quick-Pitch: Australia

Not so much a dig as a nod to the fact that they’ve become ubiquitous here. Extremely popular.

I’m still doing my homework on who is related to who but I’ll figure it out.

My first mod to this RTT. Added some tied downs x4 to the rails from Leitner Designs. It’s nice the way these two ecosystems work together.

I could add cross bars here to the tracks, but rather than going higher in the air with the occasional kayaks etc I’ll just secure them right there onto that deck. These mounts can stay up there 24/7/365 in case I need to carry anything longer like lumber etc.

True.

BUT.

Quick Pitch began in Australia, but branched out to South Africa as well. These RTT’s are made in South Africa.

In a brief Google search I quickly lost interest in, it appeared Quick Pitch was/is an Alu-Cab dealer to a degree, not so much for tents but for other products. It‘s a minor curiosity, really. Alu-Cab isn’t as popular out here, probably due to OK4wd being in New Jersey. They tried to have additional distribution in the PNW but had issues with rain and condensation that caused the development of the 3.1 Gen RTT with additional water and condensation mitigation measures, but I suspect the issues they had resulted in their exit from that market for now.

I bought mine used from Nena Barlow, half price, and I’m very happy with how the awning attaches to it rather than attaching it to the rack. It should make my setup much more versatile if I can ever get the house built so I can lift it on and off easily as a unit. Then the question is if the 200 will survive the build or be used for a cash infusion. Sorry for the thread drift.

Quick Pitch has the same system where their 270 degree awning mounts onto the extrusion on the side of the RTT - no need for a rack mount. But I’m happy with my Force Protector Gear Adapter Shade Panel for now and I’m glad to save some weight and drag coefficient.
