Yeah, that's OK if you LIKE that kind of stuff.
I think what Chazz was trying to say is stay the hell out of Prescott we don't like your kind! Or maybe not? I'll have to read it again?
But seriously, I have a good buddy that lives there and if I'm going anywhere in AZ. I make time to stop in Prescott. I tell him it's to see him but really it's to see his lovely wife. If you do move there I'll introduce him and you'll know what I mean.
From my point of view it's as close to perfect as I've found in the lower 48. After spending a lifetime in Minnesota my weather bar is set pretty low, so a little snow and a day or two of 28 degrees or some temps in the 90's is nothing.
Number one and maybe most important It's NOT in California.
Number two, Ruger has a plant there, and 2 miles out of town you find a place in the woods set up a target and start plinking away.
2.1 There's no traffic, unless there's an accident going down or coming up the hill on 17 from Phoenix when that happens (and it will) it'll ruin your day much like an accident on any highway in CA.
2.2 It's in a pine forest (beautiful pine forest) Really beautiful pine forest and lots of camping.
As a bonus and as a "seasoned Hipster", much like yourself, it's good to know that it's only a short drive to Sedona where you and Machelle can get matching fuchsia down jackets for that cold day that comes almost every year. Also, there's lots of places there you can buy an original oil painting of mountains from a guy with a grey ponytail who moved from San Francisco 4 years ago to become a famous artist!
OK, full disclosure, they HATE Californians, so change your license plates immediately on arriving and if someone asks, where your from say Utah, Iowa or Montana anywhere but CA. just to be on the safe side.
I'll call my buddy, better yet I'll call his wife and check on RV/Trailer parks in the area for you.
Welcome to Prescott,
Ps; let me know how Machelle's doing.
