When turning onto a multi-lane highway please pull into the closest lane in the direction you wish to travel.
At one intersection on the way to work there's a light where I have to make a left turn onto a multi-lane highway. The majority of oncoming traffic is in a right hand turn lane and turns in the same direction I'm going. They even have their own acceleration lane. I don't want to know how many lights I've sat through because some asshat in front of me refuses to make a left turn into the far left lane, which is empty, and insists on crossing all the way into the right lane. Sometimes all the way into the oncoming traffic's right turn acceleration lane.
Why, yes, that did happen again today.
