Thanks for the support, fellas. :)

Raul, did you get the email I sent you? I hope you're having a good journey. Let me know when you'd like to visit. Cheers!

Looks wonderful, Frank! Can't wait to see it in the printed form. That photo brings back great memories for me and Jonathan! Can't wait to share with our friends in Egypt who were on the expedition!

I am sitting here with a copy of this in front of me. I must say, I was a skeptic initially but now that I have seen it I am extremely impressed.

From the breadth of topics covered to the photography and, most importantly, the CONTRIBUTORS, this is the real deal folks.

Down to earth journalism from the likes of Frank Ledwell, Jonathan Hanson and Chris Cole has me wanting more - very glad I subscribed!

The shout out for the Rendezvous and American Adventurist in this issue was a nice touch too - thank you for that Frank.

Thanks for the fine comments, Dave & Roseann. :) We have a very strong editorial staff and I'm really looking forward to see where this goes.

Roseann, special thanks to you and Jonathan for your contributions. Your trip to Egypt, of which was pictured on the front cover, has a story I would love to hear someday. Maybe over a campfire sometime? :)

I'm excited to see a copy. It's nice to see magazines that cover more than just one interest of mine.

Over the last couple of years I had cancelled all my subscriptions to offroad style magazines as I found them not particularly relevant to my interests. I also cancelled a subscription to a prominent overlanding magazine as I felt it had an almost myopic view of that hobby (it seemed bent on creating a "lifestyle") and not one I particularly subscribe to. That being said I really wasn't interested in getting a new mag but when this one popped up and was so supportive of this forum I thought I'd give it a go. I have been waiting to see the second issue before commenting as to get more of a feel for the editorial direction of this new mag. All in all I'm pretty impressed with the content so far and really like the spread of activities, interests and travels presented. My only complaint...watch the font color overtop some of background shots. I had a hard time focusing on the printed white text over the sunset pic in the "Road Trippin" article in the first issue. The white font was sort of washed out by all the swirling pinks and peach colors. Oh and it needs some river runs and some build it yourself stuff would be sweet. But that's could just be me. ;)

Good work folks...lookin' forward to the next issue.

I really appreciate the feedback and input. The idea of OutdoorX4 has been in the works since 2006 when I co-founded and ran a digital-only publication specific to a certain type of vehicle. About a year later, a certain overlanding magazine launched and I was intrigued but soon found its content to be far too niche for my interest. Fast forward to 2013 and after seeing very little, if anything, on the market that brings all the facets of owning and recreating in a 4x4 or dual-sport motorcycle I decided it was time to create something new and fresh.

OutdoorX4 is still under constant development and at the end of the day, I want this magazine to be a reflection of the mass community of overland/4x4 and dual-sport adventurers as well as those who enjoy being outdoors and going mountain biking, hiking, camping, fishing, etc. The feedback on the "Road Trippin" article is excellent and feedback on content you want to see is absolutely welcome.

Hopefully, at the end of the day, OutdoorX4 can help bring some solidarity to what we all enjoy doing and not only help build and grow this community but the entire community as a whole.

That's how I see things as well. I tend to focus less on the vehicle and all the doodads and farkle therein but dream about the adventures, the places and the experience those vehicles allow us to reach. I see quite a similarity between our vision here on AAV and the editorial focus of your mag...building a community for adventurous people to inspire each other to get out there and experience the world through all the outdoor activities we have at our disposal. Life is to short just to stare at the world through a windshield.

Subscribed! Looks like an awesome mag!
