Well... Since Trump is our resident expert on this subject we'll consider it. It's a simple (LOL at myself) plugin and if the members dislike it we could always turn it off.
Note that spam/ads, if any, appear only in TapaTalk for those users. So, no worries to those that don't use it. To those that do, it appears that it might be improper implementation of the software by the forum itself... our team will do all to avoid that.
Also, I will add that I have not yet seen any ads on 5 different forums with TapaTalk II.
Articles that have been sucked up by the front page with no trace in their original forum will be restored soon. In the boxes checked to promote a thread to an article there is an option to keep the old thread... I guess yes means no and no means yes... Now we know how the thread abductions occurred.
Also, Tapatalk is coming soon for those who enjoy it on mobile devices
Hey guys, it sure would be nice if guests could see the pics in the trip reports forum. I didn't realize that they couldn't until I directed some here from a couple of e-mail lists that I'm on.
I think showing what we do to the world is important. We're not tearing up the land, rather we are seeing the beauty of the land, with a little history thrown in on the side, seeing things that they will never see except from the lens of our cameras.
It's been discussed, its partially an issue of bandwidth, and otherwise a reason to sign up! It's not like there's a fee or any other discouraging factors! Sign up and contribute!
Some of the people I direct here to look at the pictures have little interest in signing up.
Swing and a miss I guess. Future trip reports will probably be posted on a forum where the pics can be seen. It's easier for me to make a change than it is to ask 20-30 people from different walks of life than the one I lead to register.
Per Bob's suggestion, and Dave's nod, guests and unregistered folks should now be able to view photos. If this isn't working to snuff, please let me know.
Thanks for hanging with us as we evolve, and as you can see your suggestions do have weight, get discussed, and effect change.
