Front Runner Chairs

I picked up a couple during the holidays with FR's free shipping. They're nice and I'm happy with the purchase. Haggis is right about the beach sand and salt spray. The Front Runner chairs are similar to the PICO in design. Take down relies on slides and lots of moving parts. You can imagine where sand would be the enemy. The chairs are very comfortable and I like the pockets and drink holder. The all black color is nice. A bit heavy for how small they are but I guess that's what you get with an all-steel construction. I think aluminum would've made for a better choice. The seating area may be on the small side for a large American but work well for my 185 lb frame. All in all, I'm happy with them. They pack down really small and can pretty much be stuffed anywhere.

Ha...of course! Front and rear locking diffs too! Not the most fuel efficient machine in my sons fleet but it sure can move some sand.

Those look very comfortable though I can certainly see the sand being a concern. Thanks for posting up (and good looking truck).

I bought two of the arb chairs for this season. A friend of mine had them on my last overland trip and I was impressed with them.

The ARB chairs do look very comfortable but I was shocked at how big they were when folded down. I'd compare one to the size of an EZ Up canopy. Definitely nice, I'm still considering them but damn...they'd take up a lot of real estate on the roof rack.

They are kinda bulky :lol

My biggest issue is I tend to sit too close to the campfire. Getting ember burn holes in my $10 wally world chair doesn't hurt as much as it would if I had a $100 chair.

I still have the Macabee chairs (4 of them) but my new faves are these Snow Peak folding chairs. Smaller and lighter when packed up but comparable to the big chairs when deployed.

You should give the OzTent line of chairs a try Frank. They'll all be there at Overland Expo 15 at Mormon Lake - by far they make all the rest ou there seem like sitting on a milk crate.

They look nice nice and sturdy but don't give a weight capacity rating.

Hmm... the web site says 150 kg capacity. So if I multiply that by 2.2 that gets me 330 pounds. Any other questions I can google for you Dan? :D

No, that will be all for now, you're dismissed..

And thanks, I didn't see a weight rating on the site.
