Bacontastic Happy Hour Details!
Mojoe Outfitters is pleased to once again partner with American Adventurist to host another fun filled evening catering to all the gourmands in our overlanding community! In addition to Dave, I've been talking to Frank from OutdoorX4 Magazine who has been wanting to do a little photo based article on the Mojoe Griddle for some time. When he decided to attend the DRV this year he asked me what we were going to cook and I blurted out "BACON!" And so it shall be.
Soooo, for this event, we're going to pull out all the stops and set up a "Build your own" Bacon Sandwich Bar! We're going to set up three Mojoe Griddles and cook mountains of thick sliced bacon that you can use to build a bacon sandwich that is so far beyond the standard issue BLT that you just may be startled and a little confused! The toppings that we will be cooking for your BS build will include various roasted chilies (pascilla, Hungarian, jalalenos etc), grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, tomato, bleu cheese, etc. and several different sauces.
My son grew up eating bacon sandwiches with all kinds of crazy (and unconventional) toppings on his bacon sandwiches for breakfast. He loves them and so will you! We never put lettuce on a single one!
As most of you have seen, bacon has doubled in price in the last year. So I would really appreciate it if those that want to eat some glorious sandwiches could bring either a pound of thick sliced bacon or a loaf of your favorite high end bread like cibatta, sour dough, multi-grain, etc. Not required, just desired! We'll bring everything else.
