Sorry we planned this trip out about a year ago as a closed group. We have to keep it very small for logistics reasons. But I'll keep you in mind for future big trips.
 
One of the guys at work was up that way last week, he's not a camper, but he didn't have issues with road closures or anything. The next concern will be too much rain and mudslides.
 
Planning is still in the works considering road closures and conditions, but we have it about 90% completed, minus the Big Sur area which is still an unknown. We won't know until a week before we set out what the roads and weather will have in store for us. If we have to call an audible and change up a few routes and campsites, well, we all know this group is good for it. I just hope there's enough dirt roads open for us!

What Richard said in the last post still stands. We have a couple alternate landing sights due to the major issue the big sur fire threw out there. But we are good to go. There will be an after actions report like always.

May want to double check some of the ridges in big sur. Got some news recently that most of the good ridge sites were closed now because of the fire and how expensive that one was to fight, they want to prevent another.

We've got a few secondary and tertiary sites lined up as we've been keeping tabs with site and trail closures, etc. We'll be getting in contact with the local ranger stations before we set off to get an idea of what the conditions are. :thumbsup
 
We're out. Too many irons in the fire here especially with holidays and my big move a couple weeks out.

Looking forward to it. Wish I could have been more opened up to other members of the forum as I enjoyed looking at the pictures but being there would have been awesome. I can understand that logistics of opening the trip up to a lot of people though. Can't wait for the trip report.
