Well started to refinish the wood for my roof top tent on the camping trailer yesterday. 3 hours of sanding off the old finish, did not want to use a varnish remover for fear of it getting on the tent. I used 60,120,220 grit sand paper and that went pretty well. So far I have 2 coats of a oil based Spar Polyurathane on the wood for protection from the weather. One more coat will finish that side. I hope to take the tent off the trailer and flip it upside down and do the wood that is expose to the weather 24/7 but that will take a few people to help me with that. Last shots Well put on the final coat this morning and now it sit in the sun to dry. last 2 shots are the bottom which I hope to get to sometime this afternoon but I have to flip the tent over, you can see the difference of the finished wood and the one I will be working on.
