Up in Montana for my step brothers wedding. Started out with a trip to Lewis and Clark caverns.

My wife has more pics of the cavern, I was carrying our 2 year old most of the time, the round trip is two miles lots of stairs and elevation change and not well suited to a 19 month old.

In the first pic you can see the trail to the cave switch backing up the mountain.

It's a gorgeous area, a little state park nestled back in a rock lined canyon. Right now we are hanging out at fairmont hot springs resort, outside of butte. Pretty sweet place, and my room was paid for since I was officiating the wedding. Indoor outdoor swimming pools, naturally heated, and open 24 hours to hotel guests. Pretty awesome to sit in a big hot tub under the Big Dipper, but not roughing it by any means.

Looks like a very scenic location to blow chunks. Liking the picture of junior with hands on hips... speaks volumes to his utter disgust with his sibling.

I spent the rest of the trip at my in laws replacing a kitchen faucet. Normally an easy job, but all the valves were conveniently located behind other plumbing, and everything was rusted and corroded. That was fun.

Next weekend: Jackson Hole

Jackson is always nice, but I'm going to one of the most beautiful places on earth to sit in a conference room and work......kind of a personal hell situation, like tantalus with his grapes always just out of reach.

I drove past the Lewis and Clark Caverns exit the other day. I may pass by it on the way back. Was it worth it and how much did it cost? I'm currently in Glacier NP and am gonna explore the Yaak and other parts of the NW before heading back.

I liked it. My wife didn't. She says the caves in SD are better (wind cave, Rushmore cave, etc). It was $5 to get into the state park for a non Montana resident, and $10 for the cave tour. The views on the hike to the cave were awesome. Plan for two hours from the time the tour starts.
