Thinking about buying a new house..

So we haven't been actively looking at houses but then came across this house.. It's got everything we are looking for including more room for my wife's home business, a 2 car garage, and tons of parking along with a flat large lot for the kids to play. The price is right.. We looked at it today and I think we are putting in an offer before we head out to ovx. I would appreciate thoughts and prayers as we move forward. It's quite a looker on the outside and the interior looks pretty good as well. How's the backyard?

Does it come with the billiards table? :D
 
Looks like a great place, cheap by California standards heck that's even cheap for Washington standards!! Surprisingly open for a home built in 1923.
 
Not sure if it comes with the billiards table.. We are still up in the air about it.. Wifes parents think it's too old and could have underlying issues so we have a lot to think about
..

Nice looking place! Have you gone through a copy off the sellers disclosure? With a house of that age I'd be curious what they have listed in the disclosure.

Not yet.. We just liked at it this morning and have not contacted the seller yet. Being that the house is old, we would of course pit in an offer contingent on a home inspection and any repairs we deem needed.. We shall see what happens.. Still in the planning stages and discussion stages.

Looks like a great choice. As long as an inspection looks ok I wouldn't have any fears. Before Michele and I got our current place we were THIS close to getting a 1898 Queen Ann Victorian in Pomona. The inspection on that one passed with flying colors.
 
Bringing this back up.. now after an uneventful house hunt, we are now considering buying property and building our dream home.. which will include a standard 2 car garage and an RV garage/shop... so we are starting our hunt for land up here in the mountains.. but this means we are more than likely staying in CA until we die.. haha
